Portofino - security gate?

We will be staying at the Portofino Hotel for two nights in July - our first time at this lovely hotel. My very generous brother is using AMX points for one room and an AAA discount for the second - so the stay is his treat!

However, since he has booked both rooms in his name, I have no hotel confirmation info in my name (which is different). At Disney, you must show a hotel reservation and matching ID to get into the resort hotelt parking lot - is it the same at the Portofino?

My brother is due to arrive at the hotel an hour ahead of us - if flights are on schedule - so he could call me and give me room info before we arrive.

I was just unsure if we would have difficulty getting into the hotel parking lot.

Oh, and does anyone know the exact charge for parking each day - does it include tax??

You can do it 2 ways.
Valet park or
Get a ticket at the unmanned self park security gate.

I think we'll do the self-park at the unmanned security gate - that sounds very easy.

By any chance, do you know what the exact charge for self-park is each day - including tax (if any?)

Can we have that added to the room or should we pay separately?

If your brother is paying add it to the room.
I think its $11 for self park. They don't charge for parking every time though. They didn't charge us last time.
Tip- The parking is underground. Keep going until you can park close to the elevator. The elevator doesn't have A/C though.
