Has anyone stayed here or have any opinions on Portofino Inn and Suites, specifically the Kid's Suites? The reviews on Trip Advisor are mixed, but they have good prices.

I have not stayed there but a good friend took her family and they really liked it. Said it was clean and comfortable. It is very nice looking. They did however choose not to go back as they like to be at one of the motels right across from the entrance. The walk from Portofino to the parks entrances would be about 10-12 minutes.

We stayed here in 2002 in a Kids' Suite. It was quite spacious. The room had a mini fridge and microwave and two TVs. The kids side had bunk beds and a fold-out couch, and the other room had a king-sized bed. The areas are separated by French doors.

Portofino's been recently remodeled, so everything's still pretty new and clean. The parking lot was kind of cramped and always full, and the pool did not look that great, although we didn't use it. Also, this hotel doesn't have it's own shuttle, and I would guess it would be at least 15 minutes to walk to DL. There's no breakfast, but the mini fridge and microwave allowed us flexibility to eat in our room often.

I would stay here again, but I still prefer the Candy Cane Inn down the block. ;) Portofino has a website--it has lots of pictures, and I also booked my room through it because they had an internet special on there when we went.
