In looking at Epcot and MGM menus, I see prices are slightly lower for lunch than dinner (but still high!). Are the portions also smaller? I've seen a few pictures, and dinner portions look small enough, especially for the prices they charge. I wouldn't enjoy spending $20.00+ for an entree and leaving hungry.

we ate dinner at 9 restaurants last week and never left hungary. If you are on the DDP you get so much food. If you are not and get just an entree than you may be. The portions are not huge like the Cheesecake factory I would say they are very typical to Outback or Texas Roadhouse

We won't be using the DDP. Now that the tip isn't included, it would cost $90.00 each day for the two of us to eat. We wouldn't normally spend anywhere near that amount.

I find the portions to be normal size now, but have found the lunch portions to be slightly smaller (esp. when they are the same item as dinner at a lower price). We also will not be on the DDP, so we will get an appetizer to share if we choose to, depending on the place we eat. My ADRs are set for my January and May trips and found myself doing 1/2 of my ADRs as lunches. It will be nice to have the evenings free as we have done the DDP for our last 10 trips, so will seem a little strange next month.

I found on my last trip that I never finished a meal and it was hard for my DH to finish also. But we usually share an appetiser along with our main. In Mexico the portion sizes are huge! In MGM at Mama Melrose I got nowhere near the bottom of my pasta and I was starving when I went in there. I will add that the non-park restaurants still offer much larger servings. Planet Hollywood is just insane with the amount of food they give you!

The only time I've ever left a Disney restaurant hungry was at the Coral Reef many many years ago at lunch. And that goes for my husband and son. Said son who went to Disney World all the time between the ages of eleven and eighteen. And we almost never order appetizers or desserts.

I find lunch to be a "better deal" because it usually will have more of a selection of sandwiches and burgers.

I think the portions are more than generous. My mom and I share the meals alot of times, and not just the combos.

The lunch portions are smaller. Even at Le Cellier where the steaks sound pretty big I usually end up trimming off large amounts of fat/gristle. If you are just ordering an entree without an app or dessert you may still be hungry if you are normally a big eater. I typically order chicken, steak or fish and find the portions to be smaller than regular places. Pasta dishes seem big though.
