I had read somewhere about possible port view rooms at the Radisson. Can anyone advise what kind of “special” view if any is offered by these rooms.

IMHO, there couldn't possibly be any decent view of the port from the Radisson. The Radisson is just too far away.

We were on the third floor, two king suite room #233 this past August and our room faced the port. I was up early enough to see the Magic sail back up the channel to port. I couldn't get any photos because it was 5:15am and still dark out. The next time I looked out our window one of the Carnival ships was blocking the our view of the Magic.

WOW great to hear that even when at a hotel one can still sneak a peek of a Disney ship!

I've heard there are very few rooms that have this "special" view. We were on the third floor facing the port, also, and only saw a bunch of lights that we assumed were the ships. You could tell Carnival because of that distinctive fin thingie they have on their ships and it did block the Magic. I have to agree with clh2, though, because it is pretty far away to have a decent view. Definately not worth any extra money if they charge for that.
