I am booked in a pool view room 5/24-5/30. When I send my fax request I would like to request building 18 followed by building 16. I know that building 18 is a preferred building, but on the portorleans.org website map it shows several pool view room in building 18. Would that be a possibility to get building 18 with just a pool view booking category? I really wanted a preferred category, but none were available for my dates with the spring promotion.

Yes, the light-blue rooms in building 18 that face the pool are booked as Pool View rather than Preferred. Same goes for any River View or King Bed rooms within buildings 14, 15, 18 or 27.

So let me get this straight. Disney still accepts faxed requests? I did a search and some said the fax numbers were disconnected and/or they don't read them, just throw them out.

IF they still accept them, I need to request Alligator Bayou area. I requested it when calling, but its not on my reservation and I DO NOT want to stay in the Plantation homes.

Allears lists the fax number at POR as: 407-934-5777 Is that still correct?

Maybe the OP paid off their trip early?

I did pay our trip off 3 months early so maybe that's why I got the Magical Express packet so soon.
I didn't get the resort packet yet. The CM said that one would be here between 30-45 days out.

What I got today was ME tickets and yellow luggage tags. That's it. I paid at 45 days and received in Canada via UPS today at day 34

Are you planning your trip through AAA or a travel company?

Usually in that case you get a AAA packet which has coupons and such. Then you get ME Mickey Mail which has your Luggage Tags, Check bag Stickers, and all your ME paperwork.

Sorry I have been not around everyone. I have been tackling the stress of moving from one house to another. So that's why I haven been on here. I was by POR yesterday got some more photos when I strolled through, took the boat to DTD just cause I could.

AAA wasn't offering any good benefits unless you are booked with a dining plan.. At least that's what I was told..

Well we get the preferred fireworks viewing for free. Parking Vouchers if you drive there. Arcade vouchers, Free rounds at putt putt, you can even sometimes get special free entries for up to two guests into Disney Quest. Other members here could get other offers we don't. I am sure it differs from member to member.
