Quick ?.... I was wondering if it is allowable to put decorations in the windows? I have only stayed at values previously and it is common there, but didn't know if it was allowed (or acceptable) at POR....

Yes, mods are also allowed decorations.

Just make sure you use nothing with tape and you will be fine.

Did on-line check in yesterday, forgot to put request for close to transporatation, hope that is going to be ok. I have on my reservation that I'd like a refurb'd room in the Acadian House. If I get on my knees and beg, do you think they'll give it to me? Oh well, only 9 days to wait!!!!

And..... what is he finding?? We leave next friday!!

There are 4 tropical depressions which are making their way across the Atlantic. 2 of them look like they have the potential to develop into somethng more serious. Our flight goes on Wednesday morning and it looks like we may be ahead of them.....I'll be happy to have my flight land without incident in Florida. Once I get there, I'll cope with anything just so long as I get there!

2 years ago we had to leave 2 days early to avoid hurricane Bill which was due to make landfall here at home the very minute that our flight was due to take off. Happily the airline rescheduled our departure without cost to us and as a bonus, we got a couple of extra days in Florida. I could have lived without the stress though.

POR next Friday!!!!! See you by the pool! You know where my chair is.....I reserved it on page 50 of this thread.

We still haven't had a summer here and it is mid August....our temps have been hovering around 15 degrees (60 degrees F) most days. Hopefully we won't have too much trouble adjusting to the August temperatures in Florida.

We still haven't had a summer here and it is mid August....our temps have been hovering around 15 degrees (60 degrees F) most days. Hopefully we won't have too much trouble adjusting to the August temperatures in Florida.

Hi everyone!!! Joining in on the thread! I'm sooo excited I book DH and I's anniversary trip for August 2012!!! We have stayed at POR a few years back when we were a family of five...and when our DD came along I was sad knowing we wouldn't be able to stay at my favorite resort again ...but now I can since it will be a trip sans kiddos!!

Question...the new Royal Room looks AMAZING!!! I was going to upgrade our current reservation for a king room...anyone have any idea what that might look like?? I just think it would be nice to have one, king size bed for just DH and I.

Also...I was going to book POFQ...never been...but it gets such great reviews...but I went back to good ol' POR...I just love the atmosphere, landscaping, ambiance. So excited!!
