Hello, we are going to be booking our Disney trip soon yay!!! It will be me, DH, DD6 and DD2 at time of travel. We have been to Disney twice and stayed at AOA and ASM. Bus service was great both times. Short waits 1 stop. There was a long wait leaving for AOA after park closing but only a night or two so no big deal. Food courts were fine. Rooms a little small but clean. This time my husband is insisting on not staying at a value. We want to stay at the Poly, but not affordable. We are looking at POR now which has 5 bus stops....:scared: Transportation is huge for us since we will have a stroller and we are used to only 1 stop. Also important this trip is resort amenities since we will be spending a lot more time at our resort. If someone could help me with how different the bus situations are from value to moderate or deluxe I would appreciate it. Also, if anyone has any opinions on which non value resort is best for transportation and amenities that would be very helpful. Thank you all!!!

We stayed at POR not too long ago. We were in Alligator Bayou bldg 17, so not too far from the main bus stop. We never really had to wait more than 5 to 10 minutes for a bus wherever we were going. Their was only one night leaving MK that we had to wait for the third bus:scared1: But they would just radio for more buses.

As for the resort itself. It really is gorgeous. Very peaceful and lush with all the greenery and gardens. I honestly don't think I will be able to stay any where else. I truly felt at home at POR!!

I have stayed at POR twice, with our third stay coming up in November. I have also stayed at the Contemporary, the Poly and Fort Wilderness cabins in the past. I have never stayed at a value so I cannot compare the bus stops and convenience for you, however I will say the bus waits were never too long at POR. We paid a little extra for a preferred room at POR so we will be in building 14 in AB. I did this because my 8 year old has stamina issues due to some medical conditions and the bus stop will be much closer for her. As for amenities at POR, we love it there! The pool on Ole Man Island is great and my daughter loves the slide and the Riverside Mill for food is amazing because there is so much variety everyone is happy. There is the marina and the bike rentals and a ton of exploring you can do around the resort. Downtown Disney for more fun is also just a boat ride down the river. We love POR :goodvibes
