POR on Monday

We will be at POR Aug.6-11th.We have stayed 2 times before,but it has been a while!Anything new I need to know about??Thanks!!

POR is my only on-site experience. I absolutely loved the smell of the lobby the first time we walked in, it just took my breath away. IT's a really really pretty lobby. We didn't really spend a lot of time inside the resort to my dismay, but we stayed in AB and had great mouskeeping and really enjoyed it! We were the furthest away from the lobby, which we were upset about at first, but we really came to enjoy the morning walk to the lobby for breakfast each morning!

The only complaint I have is check-in. We had a "i'm having a miserable day so let me take it out on you" cast member, very bad experience, first at check-in, and then later on. I was traveling with my parents but since they were in a second room, they had a more pleasant CM checking them in. My CM failed to give me a welcome packet, and i KNEW there was something missing, but while I stood there not sure what to do next she was like "um, you're done" and then when i came back that night for my well deserved welcome packet (and my dad wanted info on the internet connection) she basically snickered at us, and as we were walking away I could have SWORN she laughed about us to her neighboring friend. I'll never forget this!

Otherwise though, POR was great, you'll really like it!

We will be there 9/22-9/29. We haven't been since 1998 when it was still Dixie Landings. I can't wait to see it!!

We're at POR right now! I'm sat in my room at Magnolia Terrace. Everything is beautiful and we got the river view that we requested! Have fun!

I have the NY 'tude down pat lol I just didn't want to start my vacation off the un-magical way. You'll love POR, its so serene, its not even "my cup of tea" being that its very rural and peaceful, but we loved it!

We also are arriving at POR on Monday as soon as I get packed, that is! We stayed there last in December before our Disney cruise and enjoyed it for the little bit of time we had to see the place...We most likely will be in AB, since we are a family of 5...Staying there until Saturday, when we move to the Boardwalk Inn for our splurge for 3 nights to end our stay in WDW We were planning on the entire 8 nights at POR, but I could not resist some of the summer prices that came up, so decided to enjoy a deluxe for some of our vacation, as we could not swing the added cost for the whole stay at the Boardwalk Inn. Enjoy your visit!

That was my thought, i didn't want to go looking for trouble. I'm originally from Brooklyn (Canarsie) but I don't live there anymore, i was born and raised there though, so the attitude must have been acquired there!

Sorry I dod not notice your post until just now...I am supposed to be packing, but here I am on the DIS!!!!!! Must stay Dinsey-informed at all times, ya' know! Anyhow, we'll look for you..We are myself, DH and the "you can't miss" double stroller contained DD 6 and DS 3, as well as DS 9! We hopefully will be checking in by noonish...Flight landing at 10 a.m and using DME for first time...Hope to see you there! Gotta' go, suitcases are calling!
