POR elevators or ground floor access

Sorry for the repost, I guess my last question was too vague. The DIS resort info says that only Magnolia Bend (mansions) at POR have elevators. Is this true? Are any of the Alligator Bayou units accessible? That is do some have ground floor roll-up access? We need an Alligator Bayou room for the trundle bed, but also will have an ECV. Can this be done?

I answered this over on the resort thread, but will do so again here:

There are no elevators in the AB section, but the first floor rooms are accessible. We were in building 18 (in Alligator Bayou) with my mom who uses an ECV. Even though there were steps right outside our room, we had to go all the way around to the back side of the building where there was a ramp for her ECV.

When we checked in they had us on a upper floor and as soon as I mentioned the ECV, the CM made a comment, "Oh yes, the ECV is mentioned right here on your reservation under requests".:headache: They had no problem moving us to a first floor room and even gave us an option of building 18 or 27 (this was before these buildings were classified as preferred buildings of course). We were just a party of three, so didn't really need the AB section, but just requested to be there because we prefer that section. Out of curiosity I looked under the bed and there was a trundle bed.

:cool1:Thank you, Thank you!!! I knew someone here would have the answer to my question. Looks like we won't have to haul the ECV up some stairs and my DS will have his trundle.....apparently we wiggle too much!

Do you have 5 people in your party? If you don't then you may not get a room with a trundle or even get placed in AB. Trundles are considered to be a request unless you have 5 people in your room and if you don't get a trundle room then they could place you anywhere around the resort.
