POP's Last Minute Fridge Swap-*CLOSED*

Right now we have a toaster stored in the fridge. I'm not sure if a coffee pot will also fit inside.

Maybe someone before you would be able to bring a box? We almost had one for the fridge last year but nobody remembered to measure the fridge before the swapper who offered to get one arrived.

Thanks for the info, as long as a toaster, I will just carry the electric water pot in the luggage. Coffee not a big deal but the kids love tea, instant mac and cheese, oatmeal, and soup cups for covering in room hunger.

Hello, we are planning our 1st trip to WDW on May 17th thru the 24th and came across you post about the fridge swap @ Pop Century. My wife and I took our honeymoon to WDW almost 11 years ago and this will be our kids 1st trip! We would love to reserve the fridge for our stay, it would be very handy to have this in our room. Please let me know if our dates will work with your scheduling.

We have a swapper that will get us a box if we can get measurements!

Jubilee, has offered a box but is arriving soon. We will need raspberries and leapdaymom to try and remember to get measurements. This didn't work well last year when we had someone offer. Everyone gets busy and forgets. I'm not sure I would have remembered if I had the fridge more than 4 hours.

No luck yet with the right box size but I do have something larger. Problem is just if it has the toaster and coffee pot, do either fit inside it? And how will they not break if sitting up top?

What about a sturdy bag? I have contractors bags, mega heavy duty I can try to use. Also if you think that a stretch cord will keep the fridge closed.
We would need a thought how to close the top with a reusable clasp of some kind. I do not think I am going to bring the coffe pot and the toaster is already in it.
Or the bags that would be the kind you use as storage and let the air out, like giant zip locks?

What we did with DisneyDaz's fridge was wrap the coffee pot in a towel and put it inside the fridge. The actual maker and toaster sat in the box beside the fridge.

I know DisneyDaz had it before me but I couldn't pack it up the way she had it (it had been two weeks since I unpacked it) with the whole coffee maker inside the fridge.

From what I read before I took over the fridge swap was the fridge was closed with a bungie cord to keep the toaster inside and it and the toaster disappeared shortly after the toaster was donated.

Is it fridge-etiquette to leave stuff that the next vacationer might use in there? I'm bringing down a water immersion heater for boiling my tea, crystal light packets, etc., but I won't need them after my trip. Would that be stuff that'd be ok to leave with the fridge?

Sounds good to me. If it's stuff that another swapper might use and doesn't make a mess in the fridge (someone left open juice/sports drink which leaked) then it's fine with me.

I wanted to leave some bowls last year, along with some dish soap but then I was moved to the Beach Club. I would have left some of our extra water and sports drinks that we never used but I didn't have the fridge at the BC so I just handed them out to people at the resort.

Just remember that it might be stored outside in the luggers. Depending on when the fridge is next picked up it could be outside in the heat for a few days so juice would be gross!

WickedNicole, you can now get the fridge on your arrival day. The swapper before you received a HA room and it has a fridge in it so they no longer need the swap fridge.
