I know you guys believe in this stuff, so it won't soudn wierd.
Do you think it's possible that she has 'crossed' over for a bit already? Her father passed away years ago and she had a ROUGH time with is. And when we enter the Kingdom of the Lord we enter whole. So for once in her life she has nothing wrong with her AND she has her dad....is it possible she is enjoying that too much to want to come back to us????
If you want the honest to God's truth - I totally think so.
My mom was just like us, not 7 years ago...totally "normal", worked 9-5, went shopping, she drove a jeep and would take the top down, went to WDW, took the boys to the city to see the Air & Water show, etc, etc, etc.
When she got hit with diabetes it was like *snap* overnight, she started deteriorating. She became legally blind, her ankle was broken and it never healed because of bad circulation, she ended up on dialysis - every other day, for 3 hours a day. This is a woman who was "on the go" - now she couldnt drive, or even WALK for crien out loud.
So, went she was on her dialysis machine and started choking, and became unconcious (sp?) they had to restart her heart. And that happened twice. I tend to wonder if she finally was "free". She was with her father, who died when my mom was 25-ish, and the parent she was close to. She had issues with her mother, it was her Dad she was crazy about.
So - when push came to shove and I finally came to terms with her not coming back as my mom, and I said to her, you can go be with your dad, Ill see you later, we'll be okay - she as given the "okay" to stay there. But I think she had already been hanging out there since she passed out on her dialysis machine.
My answer is - Yes. And this is coming from someone who sat bedside for 4 days with someone unconcious.
