Ants--your meals sounded good yesterday.

Yellowfish--I signed that door too!

MrFDNY--I've heard of Who's Who before, just not that one. I always view them as a money making scam. I received an induction into the Who's Who of Young Professionals when I first started working. I never sent in my paper because I think its just a money making thing. I was also chosen for Who's Who of High School Students.

Oh, I scored a 44. I sound nice. :sunny:

I think that as a first timer, the afterglow of The World lasted longer for me than for the veterans... but the post-trip blues are starting to set in (finally?) and I'm beginning to wonder when we might be able to make it back...*sigh* I wanna ride Splash Mountain again.

BOOK AGAIN, WOMAN! It's the *only* cure!!!

Think of it this way - if you went to therapy for this 'Disney Disorder' - it would cost you more than a quickie Disney trip. It's truly cost effective and therapy at the same time. Win-Win, my friend...win-win. ;) :teeth: :rolleyes1

And your daughter's cold? Ive already admitted to coming to POP and hacking and a hacking allllll over the world.

Ginger Peach Apricot Flavored & Scented Black Tea !!! (click on the picture to get on it's site) It will make your car run from 0 to 60 in a sec! Well I know that's exagerated but am still :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Thats 3x my normal :dance3:

HELP ! I need to go sleep :rotfl:

I love tea - but I make everything iced.

The "Republic of Tea" (sold at Panera) makes a Ginger Peach thats pretty darn good.

Im still (if anyone can help me) looking for a "tropical tea" like the one they have at Cheesecake Factory and Panda Express... I think Wolfgang Pucks has it too.

Ive tried a bunch of different ones, and havent found it yet. :guilty:

How about a Tea Exchange, ANTSS??? ;)

Right now, Im on a Celestial Seasonings Blueberry kick. ITS SO GOOD! And I bought it by accident. I thought I grabbed 2 "Tension Tamers" but I ended up with one Blueberry. And Im glad I did! YUM!

Ive also gotten the Who's-Who for professionals too. As have my co-workers.

I dont know "what" it really is. Did you try googling it? See if it's legit?

Good Morning!

MrFDNY- I have never gotten one of those who's who. I'm not sure if it is a scam, it kind of sounds like it.

Cathryn- Blueberry tea? Sounds good! I'll have to get me a box and some of the peach tea. I also like Cheesecake Factory's tropical tea! Let me know if you find something like it!

SO did you ever hear of them, what do you guys think should i fill it out and send it in or Am i being suckered??

My brother was in the Who's Who of High School Students, (Edited: maybe it was College, I don't remember. He was President of his class all 4 yrs, and in a Frat, and all that stuff, so maybe that was it?). It seemed that they picked the smarties (aka: not me :guilty: )... like the national honor society, MENSA and the such. The thought process for him was that it would look good on his resume.

Also, my uncle was in one for professionals. I don't know how they pick who they do, but my uncle has 6 degrees, and retired at age 43..... so, I'm thinking you are well on your way to your goal of saving to buy WDW????? ;) Maybe they found your savings account balance and figured you must be AWESOME at what you do? ;)

So, I think it more or less is for bragging rights(uncle)/resume building(brother).... If it isn't going to cost you anything, then I say go for it. If you wanted a copy of the book when my brother was in it, it was $50. That's where they seem to make their money. Let us know what you decide.

I was also in the hIghschool one! I paid I think 40.00 or 50. for the book! I am in there! Its awesome! I was excited!

MRFDNY, it sounds like those letters they send to Teachers and college students. They are a money making scam of sorts, but some people by them. My Ds got a letter for her stellar academic achievement and they wanted to put her in the book of something or other and she had REALLY bad grades! haha!! soooo there was my answer :)

morning all! how is everyone?

Morning everyone.
I have received 6 pm's with completed information (for Secret Santa) and 2 more should be on the way! :santa:
I LOVE hot tea. Right now I am on an Earl Grey thing. I used to like berry teas, but no so much anymore. Republic if Tea is my friend for sure! I am much more of a tea drinker than coffee. Hubby LOVES coffee. In fact his roomie bought him a coffee maker because he said Terry was just too scary in the morning without coffee! :teeth:
I got my car professionally cleaned yesterday and now it is raining! Isn't that always the way it goes? I was a good girl though and got the oil changed too.
I did more shopping yesterday at Target. I bought some more Halloween decorations as well as a few more gifts for Ryan. There is this train ride near the Grand Canyon that does a "Polar Express" train ride for kids. They get to wear their PJ's and drink hot chocolate, etc. I am thinking about doing that for Ryan's B-Day instead of a party and gifts. I think it sounds like a blast. I need some more info though. Off to google it after this post.
My best friend and I weere chatting yesterday and she wants the two of us to take our kids to Disneyland in February! Total surprise. Just get in the car and when we get there, let them in on the secret! I can't wait! I sooooo hope this happens. It is only about an 8 hour drive and so between the 2 of us, it should be a piece of cake!
Ok... gotta google. Be back later!

Tia that train thing sounds soo fun! :yay:

Dam you dmm, you have your own trip report troll! What do i have to do around here to get my own troll, huh?? I try and try,but no troll for me, it just is'nt fair sometimes. :teeth:

Btw i read his comment that guy is a tush hole. When i was 3 my parents first took me to wdw,i remember alot from that trip and had a great time. Pay no attention to him, i mean with all the trips i'm planning i cannot afford to pay attention anyway. :teeth:

HAHAHA!!! i didn't pay too much attention to him and i had plenty of trippers on my trippy let him have it :) it was nice!! :goodvibes

My own trip report troll came and let me know that he didn't understand people that bring children under the age of 46 to WDW (okay so it was like 6, but i thought 46 was funny!!)

Hope you all are having a good hump day!

I had to call disney yesterday, me and dw and ds had a picture taken at epcot's imagination pavillion ,we ordered a poster size print with the disney world welcome size in the back ground. when they took the pic ,we got to view it on a computer and it looked and came out great, because it would take a while to be done and we would be home al ready we paid for the poster to be shipped to our house. Sadly it came yesterday and from my forhead and above was missing for the poster/pic. When i called they said they might not have the picture still in the computer system. I'm waiting for a call back.

Any word????? :confused3 :wizard:

mrFdny = Those 'Who's Who' directories aren't a scam, exactly - but in all honesty, they're a money-maker for the publisher and more or less an ego thing for the listee. In order to get listed, you have to purchase one or more books. Back when I was in high school, they looked classy, and you can certainly use the listing on a resume, etc., but really the only ones who even purchase them are the people IN the books.

(A few people have asked questions about the dates for the SS, so here is a repost! If everyone gets their info turned in by the end of this month, I can have the partners matched up and info sent out the first week in November! :santa:)

I have gotten quite a few PMs about the Secret Santa. Looks like it will be a good turn out. Just a few things before we get started.

Spending limit is $25.00. You are getting a gift for the person you are matched up with. You will receive a PM from me with your partner's information. Please try to include a postcard from your neck of the woods! Also as an additional fun holiday thing, please include your favorite holiday cookie/cake/pie/candy recipe! This can be anything from Grandma's oatmeal cookies to that delish German Chocolate Cake that everyone raves about!

If you are interested in joining in our fun, please fill out the information below and PM me with it. I will be matching up SS buddies. Please have it to me by October 31. This will allow me plenty of time to make the partners and get all of the information out.

Gifts should be mailed BY December 8th to allow plenty of time for shipping!
