Ants---I'm on a diet!!! But the coffee looks so tempting. (P.S. Did you ever tell me where in PA you were? I can't remember).

Hi, everyone! I'm finally back! Today's my first day back on DIS after the conference, and then I got the flu and have been in bed for the last 5 days! Ugh! Time to catch up -- I hope everyone had as great a time as DH and I did! :cool1:

what about me ???????? :sad2: :sad1:

No kidding.... but, Im thinking this might be the offer they give to the public - after they let the Canadians in on it.

And - I was hoping for more of a DISCOUNT, rather than free water park and park hopping. Im only buying a one day ticket cuz I have leftover days AND waterparks!!! Man.... :sad2:

I NEED ADVICE

$408 / round trip - for two people - tax included. Flight gets in super early and leaves around 7.30pm = so I get four full days, y'know? Should I book this one?

I figure since I need to be picky with times, this might be good? No? HELP!!!

Instead of hidden Mickeys, we've got hidden Dis'ers. I was looking though my pics, & found one Brian took at MNSSHP. And guess who's in the background behind the pole? :rotfl:

And, by the way, Erica, the day I met you at Epcot I was hot, tired, & very ticked by a bad experience I had just had, not to metion a little zoned out. After you walked off, I started thing my goodness she probably thought I didn't want to talk to her. I'm so sorry. :goodvibes And I really loved all your Figment stuff, it was too cute!

LOL - yeah, can't miss me in that dress. ;) No worries about Epcot, I didn't think anything of of the sort! I'm still playing catch up...don't want to miss anything important! :)

BriansPyxie -- Oh, I just LOVE that shot of your daughter. I'm glad we at least got to say 'hi' -- sorry if I seemed out of it, I was pretty pooped from all the late nights and walking around the World Showcase. But the Kaki Gori in Japan was pretty good, huh? :)

YOMD -- So, since I've tried to read everything in the most recent 15 pages or so (too lazy to go back further than that, sorry!) but I'm sure I missed something...anyone win or witness any cool Year Of a Million Dreams prizes?? We actually won something...LOL! About 10am we were headed to Rafiki's Planet Watch to see if I could catch Jimminy Cricket for an autograph (and we did! Whoo!) and as we were entering the building, they herded us through one door and we got the Dream Fastpass! We only used 3 of the 6 tabs (it's one tab per FP ride), because we were only planning to be in DAK for about 3 hours, and we extended it by an hour to use those. It was still really cool, though, especially since I never dreamed we'd win anything. I covet those cool YOMD mouse ears, though...I love mouse ears! (Anyone else buy some of the new ones at MK that light up? I did! It was neat, since most people didn't have them yet, and all the CMs and Characters kept commenting on them, especially at night when I had them turned on.) As we were checking in, I also saw a family being offered a one-night upgrade to a moderate resort (the family turned it down because they were meeting other family at POP), which I thought was nice. And we saw lots of little 'magical moments' (waaaay more than I've ever seen before) like families being asked to play instruments before Philharmagic and the family of the day on Sorin.

DVC -- I saw a couple of posts about the DVC. I don't totally understand it, but I know Disney just announced a new DVC resort at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I told DH last night, and he said, "Ok, now we have to invest in this, I want to be able to stay there every year!" LOL! We had our honeymoon at AKL, so it holds fond memories for us both. :)

Michelle -- I'm so sorry about your uncle! :grouphug: How did your DH's "secret" job interview stuff go? Any moves in your family's future?

Nanu57v -- You can edit the tag under your name somewhere in your user CP.

Sickness -- Well, I hate to hear it, but I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one who came back sick as can be. Sounds like we all had the same thing...fever, aches, chills, BAD sore throat, stuffy head...I'm just now coming out of it. It sucked presenting at my conference while being sick. And my boss thinks I called in just because I was tired, not because I really was sick, even though I have a doctor's note and everything!

dreamergirl78 -- You're not the only one who did a little christmas shopping at Disney. We found an amazing hand-made bowl at the AKL gift shop for my mom. It was $50, but that's usually what we spend on her, so we went for it. As we were checking out, the CM showed us the special mark on all of the pieces made especially for Disney, which was pretty special. i think mom'll like it.

Welcome back Erica!

CathrynRose, i think that flight is too expensive, something cheaper will most likely turn up. we won't pay more than 350 for 2 and hta'ts reallllly pushing it :teeth: We're holding out still.

No moves in our future YET!! haha!! the interview went VERY well, but it was really just a meet and greet and the two got along famously! so that was a bonus!!

I thought so too - BUT....

It's $50 more than the "most" I wanted to spend. Plus - the times are perfect, so I'd get in nice and early, and leave in the evening, so I get 4 full days....

I dont know. Im so torn. Someone help me justify this... Im feeling the guilties!

I think - since Im NOT flexible with time... it wouldnt make sense to leave so early on Sunday, I want to get that whole day in.

Is it really THAT high??? UGH!

And what does THIS mean :::::

GUARANTEED AIR FARE
IF A DECREASE IN FARE AMOUNT OCCURS AFTER THE
TICKET IS PURCHASED AND PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF
TRAVEL OR A NEW FARE FOR WHICH THE PASSENGER
QUALIFIES BECOMES EFFECTIVE THE DIFFERENCE IN FARE
WILL BE CREDITED/REFUNDED PROVIDED-
1. THERE ARE NO CHANGES TO ORIGIN/DESTINATION/STOP
OVER POINTS/FLIGHTS/DATES.
2. ALL PROVISIONS OF THE NEW/REDUCED FARE MUST BE
MET.
3. THE ORIGINAL TICKET DATE OF ISSUE MAY NOT BE
USED TO SATISFY THE ADVANCE RESERVATION AND
TICKETING REQUIREMENTS.
4. THE BOOKING CODE OF THE NEW/REDUCED FARE MAY
DIFFER FROM THE BOOKING CODE ON THE ORIGINAL

2. REFUND THE DIFFERENCE IN FARES WITHOUT A
SERVICE CHARGE TO A NON-REFUNDABLE UNITED MCO
WHICH CAN BE USED TOWARD FUTURE TRAVEL. THE UA
MCO MUST BE EXCHANGED FOR A UA TICKET WITHIN
ONE YEAR OF THE MCO ISSUE DATE.

I just dont fly anywhere. I feel so lost! Im totally, totally confused. And like - overwhelmed!!!::::

PLUS - Isnt that gonna be SuperBowl weekend? What if it goes up? Isnt it in Miami. I know Miami isnt a hop-skip-and-a-jump, but.... IM CONFUSED!!! :guilty:

It means if the flight gets cheaper, you can get a credit back or a refund minus 100$ AS LONG as you are meeting all the flight requiremtents you agreed to. Meaning that you can't change your dates to get a cheaper fare and on and on.

I think you said you are not going back until January of NEXT yr after this Jan. trip, if that's the case, then go ahead and book :teeth: we have 2 trips in 2007, so we really need to make Jan. trip on the CHEAP!

woohooo!! what fun! i like the idea of a family gift, but not everyone has kids, so we should only pair those that do with those that want to do something similar ya know?

25.00 sounds great! i think everyone should include at least ONE item that is regional like a post card? just to know where it came from other than that it's a free for all!!!
Hey, I'm in - and I didn't even see the original post! Remember, families come in all shapes and sizes. My family currently consists of me and an aloe plant that I've managed to keep alive for almost two months now :teeth:

So, this wouldn't be the right place to say, "I'm allergic to stupid people"? ;)

CathrynRose: It means there's no charge for changing your tickets IF you don't change your tickets. Okay, fine, that was clear as mud. It means if your EXACT fare drops, and you call and request it, United will credit you the difference between what you paid and the new fare IF you make NO changes to your actual itinerary. This is an important distinction, because Delta (for example) now considers that an itinerary change and will credit you the difference MINUS their change fee :rolleyes1

Here are some of the signatures on our door. I took pictures every day so I didn't lose any "memories". We had to wipe it clean every afternoon/evening and it always filled right back up. We all had fun going back to the room to see what messages we had.
