Well it has been a fun and tiring day. DH started his new hours today, so he was home before 4 and that was soooo cool! i'm loving having more family time!!! we watched Brother Bear 2 tonite and it was soo fun! now it's a hot chocolate night to watch what about brian while the kids are sleeping i love it!! :

Ok, I LOVE the idea of a Secret Santa. I am more than happy to be the P.O.C. for this if you want me to!
Here is what I am thinking. All of those interested can PM me. Here is what I will need. Name, mailing address and your list of interests. We need a spending limit. I personally think $25 is good, but it is open for discussion. All SS gifts would need to be mailed no later than December 8th. (to ensure enough time for shipping).
I will gather names of those interested and randomly pair them up. If there is an odd number, I will take more than one Secret Santa.
Now we could do: A Disney themed SS, gifts from our region, family gifts, etc. Suggestions are appreciated!
Let me know on the main thread what your thoughts are and then we can start the PM maddness! This should be fun!

Ok here's some suggestion that we do at the exchange board! Since the maile date woould be the 8th of Dec. Then the deadline to PM you would Nov. 24,2006 ( Black Friday ) so that gives everybody a good 2 weeks to shop for their SS... what do you think ? And also when they PM you, just like what Michelle said not all of us got kids. So maybe they can add some info.. like Fave character, fave theme, fave color and shirt sizes )

Ok, my brain was functioning tonight and I came up with a good idea. Everyone loves Christmas cookies right? Well why don't we do our secret santa for each other, but include a favorite cookie recipe. That way we are giving an individual gift, but then something the whole family can share! I know I do a lot of baking around the holidays and it would be fun to try something new!

Timmy, you suggested we put this on the exchange thread? What is that? I have never heard of it! Do we want to open it up to everyone or just our POPper group?

Let's get some ideas going and we can nail down the details.

allergies: ( like metal, nuts and such)

dislikes:what would you want to see in this exchange: (this is one of the question when we had the "anything in an envelop exchange")

and since mail date is Dec. 8, you can set a 2 wek before deadline which is the 24th of Nov. so participant would have a 2 week window to shop!
