Hi all,

Great news!! I walk into the fire house today and the captain says "the pony came for you today"( the FDNY has thier own mail service, Say if your sending something to headquatres or another fire house or other FDNY owned building they use some guy from the FDNY that deliveriers all the inter agency mail, otherwise they use the regular post office,so they call it pony, short for pony express) Anyway it means that the FDNY "pony express" guy came and delivered something for me.I was not expected anything,then it hit me. It was from the FDNY academy, Remember that major class i'm trying to get into so hard in march,the 9 month program.I had to take a test for it. these were my results. I began to get real nervous and sweat alot, i also knew i wanted to open them in private,but in a fire house with 2 captains,1 division chief, 1 boro chief and about 28 guys and girls around,where is one gonna find privacy? So i went into the bathroom,i began to open it and stopped,i thought the worst that happen is i fail and thats, that and its over,right? I was far too scared to open it and tried so hard to convince myself that it will be ok to fail, but i was a nervous train wreck. I opened it and it read quote" Dear candidate( thats me) Cangratulations you have passed the FDNY heavy rescue screening,written portion. So out of a possible score of a 100, i got a 96. I still have to worry about oral interviews in january,i have to go in january and have 3 oral interviews, one with the FDNY commishiner,the #1 chief and someone else who i am not sure of. So i passed!!!

when I had the accident I used up all my vaca hours and funds for vaca too .... and car note start rolling on Jan. 4th. .. and since I locked myself in with the DVC that's another bill note monthly ... sorry guys I sound like whining but am not .. really am not.. I just have to let January sit and instead go to April for a longer vaca.... since that would be after tax day so it will be more comfortable going then

I don't eat cereal. DD doesn't either. I make her chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast every morning. But if I had to pick, I would eat Frosted Flakes I think.
