It will also be the first Christmas since my oldest DD died this past May. She was married and lived out of state, so wasn't home the last few Christmases. It just doesn't feel right to go shopping and not buy anything for her! Also her birthday is December 27th! I'd really like to just completely skip December this year!

I am so sorry. I can't even imagine what you are feeling. I hope you are able to enjoy the holidays a little bit though.

I don't mind wrapping. In fact, I think I am pretty darn good at it. One of those hidden talents I possess!
I end up wrapping everything becuase my hubby is not the best at it. Although he does mine and usually does a pretty good job. It's the thought that counts right?

SECRET SANTA - I HAVE pm'ed everyone. So far I have not received a response from half of the people I sent messages to. I am honestly at a loss. I will give it a few more days then go to Plan B. With a little help from my DIS elves, everyone who wanted to participate will get something. As for those who have not responded, I don't know what to say. I feel bad because I am sure when they signed up they had the best of intentions, but . Life happens, I just wish they would PM me so I can rearrange the swap.
I sincerely apologize to anyone who has NOT gotten theirs yet. Next year I will figure out a better way of doing it.

Hi everyone how goes it? My SS gift went out UPS, so please let me know when that person recieves it!!

My DD was in teh ER AGAIN! she is losing too much weight with the whole throwing up thing poor peanut wants to eat, but just can't keep it down! She got better for a bit and then boom a couple days later it's back. She's on more antibiotics and her ears cleared up. DS is doing much better and nothing is really bothering him Autumn however is in a very good mood, and she's doing hte cracker/dry toast thing pretty well, so there is hope!

Let's see....Christmas is HECTIC!~ and i am in the process of planning the kids birthday parties AND my dads 50th surprise party soo needless to say i'm crazy busy! haha?!

MY wine swap gift has not gone out yet, but it SHOULD be going out tomorrow morning UPS too so that one should get there by fSaturday or monday i think! DH would know better! haha!! (he does all the shipping!!)

Wierd traditions....None really, but we're looking to start the pickle thing and Matching Family christmas PJs! hahah!!1 dorky i know, but it's fun!!!

I have not gotten my SS gift yet, but i am really blaming that on the post office hahah!! My christmas cards are still half lost somewhere! haha!! That's why i did UPS. I Just got the PM about 20 minutes ago and did not respond, b/c i figured i would come here first and post.

DMM must be soooooooooooooooooo busy baking those cookies she's sending to all of us

haahaha!!! i DID just get a new cookie press from DH and although it took me tooooo long to figure out, it's pretty fun!!!

I also got a new food chopper, so that has been taking up a lot of my time! heeehee!!

I just wish everyone wasn't so sick right now it would make for a heck of an easier day AND more time to DIS!

I've been putting together the goodie bags for the kids' birthday parties and Autumn keeps taking everything out

For a kids party (even though mostly adults will be in attendance!) is it totally unacceptable to serve pizza? i sooo don't feel like spending a ton of money on catering like i did for Autumns b-day last year and be left with all this food

Okay we are having a Pinata at Christmas Eve AND at my kids birthday parties. There will be a lot of the same kids at both events...sooo i need some help with pinata fillers!

We are getting a lot of the goodies at SAMS club! They have the big sizes that we need and it's sooo good! we are also doing Ceasar Salad!

do love that you all are still here! It feels so nice to be able to know that you guys are here! I do hope that we are all able to get to Disney together soon! Thanks PJ for that story about the CO2 detectors. I asked my husband for one for Christmas... funny huh? But, do you know if that problem is more common with gas run boilers? I did not think so, but he thought so.

No i didn't leave, just tearing my hair out with sickness and holiday junk! i have an anniversary party to go to on saturday if Autumn is feeling up to it and it is a friend of a family sharing their 30th. What would I get a couple that has been together for so long that most likely has everything? haha! They are also a very spiritual and religious couple.

Wow, this board is really moving again! I've got 5 pages to catch up on, but I wanted to say something. Can't remember what now.

Anyway, I was part of the WASABI challenge for 3 days. I got picked as an alternate, was seriously confused, and then my team got eliminated. So now I'm back to being an audience member again.
