A Brooklyn FDNY Employee who risked his life this summer to save a woman from near-certain death was fatally stabbed early yesterday by his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, police and witnesses said.

Jason Ruiz, 30, was stabbed twice in the chest outside his girlfriend's Sunset Park apartment while arguing with her former beau at 1:30 a.m., cops said.

Ruiz, who served four years with the FDNY, died at Lutheran Medical Center hours later.

Cops said last night that they were talking with the suspect's family but had made no arrest.

"The department is saddened by the loss of EMT Jason Ruiz," FDNY spokesman Jim Long said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. EMT Ruiz, in a short tenure with the FDNY, had proven himself multiple times. He was a hero."

Ruiz and partner Juan Rios, summoned to the Myrtle-Willoughby G-train subway station in Williamsburg on July 15, found that a 31-year-old woman had suffered a seizure and collapsed, face down, on the tracks.

Having no time to check whether a train was coming or even whether the power was still on, Ruiz jumped down to do what he could for her medically.

Later, he said, "You don't think about the risks until afterward."

Sadly i did not know jason, but i am good friends with his brother, adam. Adam worked at my fire house for some time and when he was new i was put in charge of training him. I remember him talking about his older brother (jason) and how he worked with the fdny for some time. The whole family is civil service employees, thier father a nyc police officer and mom also NYPD.

I feel so bad for this family, they also have a 11 year old sister, which i met a few times. I heard she is taking this really bad and has not gotten out of bed for 2 days.

About a month a half. I've made $760 since I started! If you sign up use one of our emails for a referall...just get Tia's. And make sure you actually read the info and watch the videos because I've had most of my friends fail.


PJ--That is really sad. That will probably be all over national news.

I am already a Cha Cha guide so I was wondering how long you had been doing it. I did it for a few days and haven't really logged on since. I think it is different for me since I already do 75% of my job from home anyway. So when I am Cha Chaing making $.10 I just think about what I should be doing for my real job making more than the $.10 per query ! i really did enjoy it alot some of the questions really made me think and others made me roll my eyes ! Glad you like it !

Morning everyone! I think I may be moving my vacation to the beginning of January not positive though! The new 2009 promotion is pretty fun and it would be great for Autumn to spend her birthday there, so it's in the thinking process right now it's only a couple weeks difference, it would just mean 2 different reservations, since we would now be there for the New Year and that's holiday season and then it jumps to Value. We'll see Alot of moving around! haha!!

Alright everyone, keep Sal in your thoughts next week please He is leaving us on Tuesday for a little over a week and heading down to the devastated areas of Texas to help out the people trying to get the electricity back up. He works for an electrical supply company and they need to get supplies out to everyone. I'm worried about him and at the same time totally going to miss him, the only time we've ever been apart was when a baby was born or when Roman was in the hospital and we were taking turns staying with him. Argg...i'm a bit of a mess! hahaah!

The FDNY's & NYPD's rapid response team is there, i'll tell them to keep an eye out for sal. Not to worry dmm, for what the guys down there are reporting back there has been no issues. It seems the peace is there.

So i'm home from gambling. Well i did not win, but i did not lose. I ended up leaving with $40 less then i went with and dw ended up leaving with $40 more than she went with. So we broke even and even had a great $30 per person buffet. The steak was to die for.

I ended up hitting a few small hits, a hundred here and two or three hundred there. I put most of it back in the machines. I watched some girl put in a $20 and win Fifty cents and scream cash out and leave all excitied. Must have been here first time in a casino. I only play slot machines, i used to play tables but you can lose a grand in under 5 minutes palying tables, so i stick to slots only now to maximize my time, i like to stay in the casino for as long as possible.

Btw i had the triple shot mocha lattie extra large coffee from starbucks on the way home, if that does not explain my williness to chat at close to 4am.
I'm wired. In all i had a blast, but disney is still much better and fun in my eyes.

Hi all! Sorry I have not been around, I have been getting ready for our trip. We leave in 4 days and I am sooooooo not ready. Typical Tia.

Rebecca - I am pretty PO'ed at ChaCha right now. I STILL do not have my debit card and I have been trying to get it sorted out for 3 months. Needless to say I am not doing much at the moment. But congrats on doing such a great job! Hopefully after this gets cleared up I will go back to it.

Michelle - You guys will be fine! TRUST me, a little over a week is nuthin'! Terry might be getting deployed again for 14 or 15 months, want to trade??

Oh and Cat is on vaca, which is probably why she has not responded to you PB question!! I found a great site called fancast which has seasons from loads of TV shows. I have been watching old episodes of the original 90210! It's awesome!!!
