POP'ers who have bonded - (new home!)

OH NO! Miss a morning of Dising & look at all that happens!

Tia - POOR RYAN! Will he still be able to do the rides.....??? FYI - Donna is on vacation (at WDW) till Saturday...I know you guys can still go, & all, but if he can't do the rides he loves......kwim?

Lori - YUCK - I hope she's ok too - that sounds so painful....my eye hurts just thinking of it!

PJ - ok, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I needed that visual fix so badly! What fun...your niece is adorable....I think I need those oven mits!!!!!

She is fine. She burned her eye. She has contact cleaning solution and when she went to put her contact in she grabbed that bottle and filled her contact with it and put her contact in. well.... that solution is REALLY bad an not meant to be put directly in the eye. She is going back to the doc today. Her eye hurts really bad and she is having a hard time sleeping. Poor thing.
:

OH MAN!!! Ouch!!! Did the DR say how long she'll be hurting?

But I can relate.... we are both eyeball dummies.

Probably 2 weeks ago - my eyeballs were crazy itchy - I went and grabbed my antihistamine drops - then I thought, "Gee, I got that sample anti-histamine drops from Wal Mart in the mail, Im gonna try those"

I dropped it in one eye and was like FUUUUUNK me!!! OWWWWWWWWW!!! And ran and rinsed my eye with saline, and thought 'Well, I aint buying those!'

I get up the NEXT MORNING, and it still kinda ached, and was really blurry to see. So, I look in the mirror and see this: :magnify: . I then did this: :scared1: My pupil in that eye was HUGE!! I had NO color!!!

I run and grab the nasty antihistamine drops and look - what the heck did I put in my eye. The antihistamine sample and the small bottle of eye dilation stuff my husband got from his DR before a recent eye exam were the same size - same everything. I dilated one eye. I looked like a freak - and I couldnt see. :sad2:

Then it wasnt some short lasting one, either.... it finally got BETTER (not gone) by that evening.

Doofus.

Lori and I will now pay more attention to what we squeeze into our eyes. ;)

She will know more after her appt. Her mom came and got her when we were on the phone. Yeah, you girls need to READ before you spray junk in your eyes. ;) I am glad it did not hurt long!!!!

I have been reading the disABILITIES forum and it looks like he can ride almost everything. I think that the only difficult ones will be Peter Pan because they can't stop that moving walkway, Kali because of the water and maybe Splash. But other than that, we should be able to do just about everything else. They have special seating at the shows and parades so we don't have to fight against the crowds in a wheelchair. I am especially grateful for the parades because those people get nuts trying to shove up front. If his foot/leg got kicked it would be SUPER painful for him. This way we can wheel his happy butt into the section and not have to worry.

Hi gang,

Oh no, tia and lori- prayers and pixie dust comming your way!!
Tia- they sell these "things" that you can wrap a cast in so it will not get wet. I have no idea the name of them, but was i was 14 i shattered my ankle playing footbal, I was in a cast for well over 3 months. My dad bought the things to wrap my cast, cause at 14 i was just getting self aware and insistied on taking a shower every day. I will try to find the name of them.
Also i"m almost sure disney will let you move your trip around with no charges or fees, if you have a doctors note. Also i think they have a way of slowing down the ramps on the moving loading rides, like peter pan.

Lori & Tia if you guys need anything we are here!!

Feel better ryan!!!!

Hi gang,

Well i have to run, i have a shift at the fire house tonight.

PJ makes me giggle! :rotfl:

But he's right too - whatever you guys need. I have eye dilation drops laying around if anyone's interested in looking like a freak for a day....

TIA - Did you get in touch with Colleen?

PJ - I stole your picture of Epcot's Ball with the Palm Tree's - it's currently my desktop back ground. You cant make me take it down, either. :p

Darn Disney!!! I just got one of those email codes with the free dining and like 63.00 a night per person! The December dates look soooo good......arggg..

Also i think they have a way of slowing down the ramps on the moving loading rides, like peter pan.

I believe they stop it completely for a handicapped person. It's been forever since I was attractions, but that was what we did. If you remember ever riding the rides and it just stopped halfway through? It's to load a wheel chair bound person. :) Or when someone gets stuck and the lap bar won't go up! haha!

Nah, no worries. I will let the postcards slide. I have too much other stuff to concentrate on. ;)
Ohhhh.... freak for a day. That might be kind of fun... as if I need more excitement in my life!

Yup, I KNOW! Goooooooood rates.

I read on the disABILITIES board that they only ride they can't stop is Peter Pan because it is suspended. Everything else can be slowed or stopped.

You guys are killing me.:rotfl:

I met self aware as in body odor.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:  :rolleyes1 :cool2:

Oh yea, last thing. Did anyone see this?? That mom's panel is looking for people again, you guys should apply!! I plan on applying as well, i hope i get accepted. The guys at the fire house would never let me live it down with it being called mom's panel, but i still hope i get it anyway. Plus i don't plan on telling them.

"
Applications will be taken from 10:00 am Eastern Daylight Time on September 8, 2008 through midnight Eastern Daylight Time September 19, 2008 or when we have reached 20,000 applicants, whichever comes first."

Yeah, I need to submit my applicant today. I'd hate to procrastinate too long and have it fill up.

Tia--Check with the airline too. They might be nice and wave the fee. Also, I had a thing to put over my foot (not broken but couldn't get wet). Ask the dr.

PJ--I was going to ask permission to print out your palm tree epcot foto.... Its good!

Lori--I hope you are doing better today!

Oh man that stinks Tia, oh well it will just make The Peter Pan ride even better next trip :)

GO for it! there was a dad on the last moms panel :)

Morning everyone! Have a good day! We're off to the worlds lamest dinosaur museum! hahaha!! I like it because it's small enough for none of the kids to get bored and still has enough for them to learn.

Morning all! Looks like the rain is coming soon!

Todays walk was foiled halfway through!?! Gabriel was stung by a bee :sad2: I was freaking out since none of them had ever been stung before. Argg...He's doing well now and I got the stinger out, but I will admit to going to Sals work instead of heading straight home! haha!! (He works across the street)

How is Gabriel feeling??

Hi everyone ! I am so glad this week is over ! Sheesh !!

How is everyone ? I am so sad I am not joining the Sept free dining festivities with everyone ! Everyone had better take TONS of pictures !!

Gabriel is doing so much better, thanks for asking Tia! His entire finger was swollen for a bit of time, but some ice (which he ate most of) helped a lot :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
