Hi all!!! I can't sleep. And I have so much to do tomorrow. So I am up all night reading the DIS boards. I am reading all of those threads about which resort everyone will be at for free dining and POP is almost overwhelming.
But life is good because one of my best friends just bought into DVC so we are going for a girls only trip to WDW in February!!! And I am taking Lori with us! It will be weird doing WDW without Ry, but I think I will get over it. So that means I will get an AP this year and get at least 2 uses out of it and possibly a 3rd if we do a bouce back deal again. I think my hubby is being nice by going this time and it might be his last for awhile so it is nice to know that I can still get my fix.
Well... I should perhaps lay down and read for a bit to see if I doze off. Nighty night!

I have been going back and forth over having Lasik done for awhile. I think I have finallydecided I am justgoing to go ahead and do it. I have my consultation next week ! Anyone have it done before ?

My g/f Erin had it done - was very excited to do so.

A few years later (now) she needs glasses to read close up and would not have done it, if she could go back in time.

I could have her write me a longer 'experience' and post it, for you.

I am hoping to learn more at my appointment next week as to what to expect. I think the cost will be about $3,000 but from whatI understand ( and there might be some fine print) this Dr guarentee'syou 20/20 vision for life ?! I know sometimes you have to have minor "tweaks" a few years later sometimes.

Knowing me I will chicken out now that I have decided I actually want it done.

Hi gang,

Just in from work, busy but boring day!!! So it's offical, i offically moved on tuesday, sadly i did not have internet until yesterday afternoon. So thats why i could not post. Lets see, just about everything is going kinda smoothly. II have to buy a new a/c unit, yay! (not really yay) Here in brooklyn nyc, its very common for most house to not have central air, most of them were built in the early 70"s or 60"S, so most house have window units.

Mine new one that i bought last year does not fit in this window here, any of them. So i have to buy a new one that will fit, more money. You guys missed the whole $ 400 light that cost only $50 bucks. We saw a light for the celling that we really liked it normally cost's around $125 but was on sale for 50, we buy put it in and turn the light on and bam the thing make a horrible crackling noise, throws a few sparks and kills all the power in my house.

I had to call the specialist and it cost me $400 for the rewiring, apperantly the light had a short in it, something i was assured that i could not have caused and blew the circuts in my house.I e-mailed the company but it looks like i get to spring the bill for thier mistake.


I felt so bad on the day of the big move, i had to put my 2 cats in thier carriers and take them ashley my old, fat calico female cat was fine. She turned 8 not so long ago. My other one spock, male orange tabby, about 2 or 3 as per the vet, had a real hard time. We got to the new place and ran under the bed and hid for 3 days straight and would not come out. He finally came out for a few minutes last night to eat and ran back under and hid, today he was out a lot more.

Al right there is lots more of misfortune to tell, but i'm beat and calling it a night. Have a great week all!!!

Hi guys! Just wanted to pop in real quick. Things have gotten pretty hectic lately and my schedule doesn't allow as much free time as before! Nap time gives me a few minutes

The shop has me busy with several wholesale accounts now and just regular sales in general.

Little Roman is crawling now, so i have to be on guard all the time!

We've unfortunately had to cancel our November trip which has been totally depressing, but with all the recent appointments and more upcoming ones it's been eating up all of Sals vacation time. We have just under 2 weeks in Mexico and we already have take 2 weeks with other little trips and appts. Now we have like 3 or 4 more appts. this year and Sal would never consider missing one. We figure we will go away for the Thanksgiving Holiday since it allows us some time away, just not the whole week and a half. Not sure where to though.

OK, so just popped on to this. Lori: my husband, mother, brother, & uncle have had it done. My moms best friend, and robs uncle have had it done. My hubands aunt works at a great lasik center in boston. You are right about tweaks. They can go back in after and try to make it better if you arent happy. There is no guarentee of 20/20 vision. The reason why you will need glasses for close up is the aging of the eyes. They can not do anything about that ever. You won't need glasses for everyday seeing, but as the eye ages, most people need reading glasses, (most people start to need them in their 40's though, so you will have many years till that happens!!!!). Only one of all those people have had to go in for a tweak... it was my moms friend. She DID NOT keep up with the eye drops that you MUST do, as prescribed or MORE! Let me know if I can answer any questions for you. (myspace me though, cuz i have been a bad DIS'er, and not getting over here much at ALL!)

I guess we are dying a slow and painful death here on this thread ! We had a good weekend. I spent yesterday overhauling Austin's room - it needed it SO bad. Today my parents took the kids ( they usually do on Sunday) and Dan and I went to lunch and did some shopping atthe mall. Nothing else too exciting.
