Pop vs. Sports

Taking away the bus situation at Sports and Pop, is there any real difference between the two? Sports would be $75 cheaper and I'm just trying to make a decision. (Ive stayed at Sports, which I liked but never Pop)

I prefer Sports a little more but my kids told me they like Pop a little better.

To me, it feels like a little less walking at Sports due to the smaller property size (we usually don't book preferred).
My kids say they like the main pool better at Pop.
As far as food courts, I didn't notice any big differences. The walk to A of A for their food court is doable but we were too tired to do this very much at the end of a long day.
For buses, some will rate Sports lower because it shares them sometimes (usually during off times, not peak morning/evening times) with the other All Stars. But even then, I don't think that's much of a big deal.
And with the extra $75, well that's a lot of Mickey bars or other treats, so in the end that would sway me too.

I would go with whichever one is less, Pop is a little bigger and you can walk over to AoA but other than the theming, the rooms are just about the same, both have a huge food court and are kid friendly.

Pop is more centrally located. So, your overall travel time around WDW is probably less. Not enough that I would consider it a deal breaker, but for some it could be I suppose.
I've stayed at the 3 All-Stars and Pop 2x each. The only major difference to me is theme. We always book value resorts based on the theme we are in the mood for combined with the best discount we can get.

Those are my 2 favorite value resorts! If neither one appeals to you a whole lot more than the other, then I say save the money and go with Sports.
