:goodvibes We will be staying at POP with our 3 DDs (ages 2, 4, 5). Any tips that you can provide regarding the set-up of the room and where to place luggage, supplies, backpacks, strollers, etc would be greatly appreciated!:wizard:

Having 5 people in one room at POP is going to be crowded. The rooms at POP are quite small. If you can move one of the beds over against the wall that might give you enough space to put the crib (pack n' play)for the little one in between the beds. If you have to put the crib against a wall that will fill up most of the extra space in the room.

You might consider asking if they'll remove the table and chairs. The Pop rooms are very, very small, and don't have much floor space. I'm trying to picture a crib and multiple strollers in the room, and then luggage, too....it's going to be REALLY tight, and maybe impossible with the table and chairs there.

Think about using umbrella strollers; you can fold them and stash them in a corner.

Utilize the dresser drawers

Try and use luggage that will stack inside of itself and store under the sink or on the floor in the closet area.

Collapse the pack and play when not in use and when in use place between the beds or next to the table.

Bring an over the door shoe bag/holder to put all your toiletries into.

Bring collapsible net style laundry bags for dirty clothes.

Bring a couple of plastic bins to place on the dresser, nightstand & table to keep track of spare change. cell phones, cameras etc.

Use a bin for all diaper supplies so that you can place it on the top of the dresser or shelf in the closet and have everything you need in one place. Same for bathtub stuff for the kiddos. I love plastic bins, place them in your suitcase and then pack them full of whatever is going into that suitcase. Then when you get to Disney, unpack as much into the drawers as possible and use the bins for keeping the clutter under control.

the stroller may also need to be collapsed when not in use and placed under the window in your room, in the years of having both a stroller and a pack and play we were cramped but did okay. We did not collapse either one, we used the stroller for back pack, camera bag and diaper bag storage when we were in our room and the pack N play got all the toys, stuffed animals, blankets etc. during the day to be distributed to their owners for night time use.

Have fun

mamacatnv-love the plastic bin idea!

There is a shelf in the closet area. I usually put my luggage there. I did read of one Diser who was going to call the resort and see if Luggage Services would allow her to store her empty suitcases there.

I found using a shoe organizer that hangs on the closet rod a great way to keep all the shoes/sandals/water shoes and even stuff like water toys from taking over the room.

Are you going to use a pack n play? When my youngest was that age I acutually slept with her in my bed and had a ready bed (sleeping bag and blow up matress all in one) for my then 5 year old. It was so easy to pick up the ready bed and just prop it up against the wall during the day.

Have a great trip!!!

From what I've read the Pop beds do not move.

The Pop beds definitely do not move, they are on platforms. This is a double whammy since that also means you cannot store luggage underneath them. If you have a rental car I suggest putting your empty luggage in the trunk once you are unpacked. If not than I suggest bringing luggage that can be stored empty, inside other luggage or duffles that collapse. They will fit on top of the closet bar. The over the door shoe bag is a must. Pop rooms are small and the fact the beds are on platforms is the one and only thing I don't like about them! But we were a family of four, with kids older than yours (8 and 10) at the time and we stayed 10 nights very comfortably at Pop. It can be done!

I forgot to add that we had stuff stacked up on top of the dresser/tv cabinet. Also under the sink. And with the nice laundry rooms at Pop it makes it easier to pack lighter.

Make sure you have everything you'll be taking to the Parks the next morning ready the night before. So you can just pick it up on the way out the door, without turning the room upside down looking for an item.

Oh yeah thats for sure! I have learned to have everyone's clothes out, backpacks packed, camera charged and ready etc. It really helps start the day out right.
