That I don't know. I just know that the numbers listed for most resorts go to the call center. I beleive the fax number is direct though.

Ok, I texted my good friend who works at the front desk at Ft. W. I asked him if he has the real phone number. You'd think the resorts would have a phone list for all the resorts and parks etc.

I have another question. I am thinking of requesting Building 4 or 5 in 60's section lake view. Can I walk through the "T" part of the building and come out by the hippy dippy pool or do we have to walk all the way around the building. Does that make sense?

No, you can walk through the center of the building. Take a look at the Pop picture thread (sorry, I don't have the window open so don't have the link).. you'll see lots of pics taken from inside that area looking up at the giant icons. They're the "artsy" pics.

Is this what you mean? I left the one off on Baloo(bear). It just didn't look right if you know what I mean. But you can go that way too.

Yep.. that looks right. You can walk right through the middle of the buildings. Is that where the elevators are?

I saw some pictures a few pages back of the 60s buildings having refurbishment work done on them. Can anyone confirm if they are refurbed yet?

We will be staying at Pop for the first time beginning August 2 and my DD8 would love to stay in the 60s section, but DH and I would prefer a refurbed room. Either way I'm excited, but was hoping 60's were done so I can please everyone (knowing that my room request, is just a request and not a guarantee).

They are being worked on now. Mayve someone soon can update. I don't think they are done yet since they seem to be working so slow.

I don't believe work has yet begun on the majority of the 50's buildings.

We made the same request (building 4 or 5, lake view) and hoping they are refurbished, but the most important parts are the connecting rooms.

The flat screen tv does nothing for us, the lack of dresser space may be an issue with a refurb, and since we have two rooms (one for adults one for kids) we can just close the door for privacy.

I will be arriving on the Aug 1 so check in late on the 1st for an update

Some on the thread have been in refurbed rooms so they can report. What I've learned from reading the thread is that some/all refurbed Pop rooms feature:
1. Flat screen TVs and accompanying furniture - the new furniture is apparently lower to accommodate a flat screen TV on top, and so you lose out on the high shelf and perhaps there are fewer drawers for clothes.
2. Privacy curtain for sink area
3. New beds and bed spreads
4. Repainted walls
5. I think maybe curved shower rods

No, only POP had the hair dryers in the past. I thought the curtain rods were always curved, but its been a while since I stayed in an AS. We've been staying at POP when we go value. So the coffee pot, fridge microwave make the family suites at ASMusic a good deal!

Only Pop is being done right now.
They alreaady had hair dryers. they did add a privacy curtain though. no coffe pots. They aren't in any values.

I have never noticed that the Pop didn't have a coffee pot. Probably because I have NO idea how to use one!! All coffee comes from Starbucks.. right ? Seriously, I have a Tassimo, that makes one cup at a time. We never make up a pot cause DH doesn't drink it and only 1 cup for me a day. The rooms are all pretty close to the Everything Pop, and since you can refill your mug with coffee all day long, I think thats why they might not think coffee pots need to be in the rooms.

I am wondering how you know if you're room has the motion sensor kind. what does the motion sensor look like and where is it? Someone said you can put a balloon in front of it. But I'd need to know what to look for.

The front desk woman called down to engineering while I was on the phone and they told her they didn't have that kind anymore..... I'm sure they probably do in some rooms.

Oh, thanks for the picture. That is easy to see that it is indeed a motion sensor no matter WHAT the "front desk" woman said.

Do you recall what your room number was? or at least the section or area?

I have request 70's rehabbed, non-preferred side. I'm hoping to be close to room 0125 which is the room we had last time. I am fairly certain our thermostat didn't look like that over there. At the time, that room was partially rehabbed. The bathroom had been done, but the rest of the room had not. Old dresser/TV's and old LOUD bedspreads.

Couldn't help but notice... it says 64 degrees. I was told that the thermostat was controllable between 68 and 76 degrees. If you wanted it lower, you had to have someone come override it.
