Can someone please tell me exactly what buildings have been completed in the reno.....and which 'way' they working...ie when will building 3 be under reno's! I don't want to request a room/area that will be under reno during my stay May 17th -23

Building 6 (the 70s) and all of building 8 (in the 80s/90s) ... that's all we have confirmed at this point.

Work continues Im sure. Reports of some floors in building 9 being complete..

It will all get done.. it just takes time. I'd expect it to be done by June or July.

This Is awsome I did not know they where being refurb. We will be there the 3rd of July and i requested a 60's Bldg heres to hopeing for a completed 60's Bldg

No one knows what order or the reason for the order they are going is. Only a few are done at this point and there isn't anything tyo tell us when it will all be done or what is next. Just gotta wait and see

Nope. We can't tell you exactly. Sorry. We haven't any further reports of what's finished and what isn't. Not one.

Couple of things tho..

They close down entire buildings at a time generally.. and you can't hear diddly squat in adjacent buildings because they aren't running jackhammers or heavily nailing guns. They're ripping up carpets, repainting and wallpapering, adjusting some bathroom fixtures, putting down new carpets, changing the beds and furniture. It's just not that noisy in nearby buildings.

If you get there and you find your location too much to bear, just ask to be moved - it shouldn't be a problem.

I wonder if we haven't gotten any updates because they paused the refurb during Easter? I would think they would need all available rooms during peak vacation times?

Hi Calissto! I'll also be checking in on Friday! We'll be there until the 21st and I've requested a refurbed room in the 70's, so hopefully I'll get it. I'll also have my window & door decorated - maybe we'll see each other!

We get there on sunday 18th. Requested 80s/90s refurb. Will be sticking a sign on the door for people to leave messages and some signs in the window. We've got no plans for sunday night so you might see us hanging around POP. If you do...say hello! We're there til 29th (pics in the trip rep in sig).

If I see your door I'll definitely leave a message. I am going to attempt to do the same just have to figure out how to set it up. I think I am going to laminate a LGMH and put a magnet on the back to put it on the door and then attach an envelope or something...not sure...how are you going to do it. I will also be exhibiting a window cling courtesy of milliepie on the creative disings board with our names. see you there!

I've laminated an A4 size page that has a number of Mickey Heads on it in diff colours, and a message. I've made some magnets to hold it to the door and I'm going to *fingers crossed* attach a sharpie type pen to the page with string. At least, that's the idea. Just hoping it works.

Thanks but I'm in the UK, so no target :-( Hence my makeshift idea instead

Going in October 1-8, and DD (10) saw pictures of POP and thinks it is a step up from where we stayed before (CBR, POFQ, and POR). I think it great that we are moving on up to a better resort!!!

Yeah you can it's pretty great and not hard to do at all. It even tells you how to flip the image so that when you stick it to the window it isn't backwards. I bought it at staples but I'm sure you can get it wherever you can buy office supplies. I'll take pics of the windows and post it on here.

Just checked out on 4/31. We requested and received a refurbed room in the 70's buiding. Room 6249 facing the lake on the corner near the elevators. The room smelled like it was just painted. Everything was new. The new storage units hold more than you would think. There was plenty of room for my wife and DDs 14 and 10 to store all of there clothes. I could have fit mine in as well, but I usually just live out of the suitcase.
The new pillow-top mattresses were great.
I'll post some pics when I get home.

Also, I did not see any rooms being worked on while I was there.

Is this really the case? I've seen 2 reports stating this, but others have said no, and that the beds are still uncomfortable

I have read they are NOT pillowtop matresses.
