POP Preferred room is worth it!!!

for us, a "preferred" room would be one that is not facing a courtyard, away from a pool, and generally quiet - we wouldn't mind the walk, either :upsidedow

(my DH is not a big fan of a real "preferred" room location: near the lobby, facing the pool, and generally in the middle of the noise! - sometimes, i think he's getting old...)

We've stayed at Pop 4 times now and we actually ask for the 90's. We like it because we rent a car and the best/most available parking is by the 90's.

This past trip in Aug. we had a room on the first floor just steps from that little parking lot in front of the 90's section. We always found a place to park (even coming back at 1am once) and loved walking 10 steps to our room.

Plus, we like the computer pool as it seems bigger to us and easier to find a table with umbrella in the middle of the day.

P.S. we've also stayed in the 50's and 80's sections.

We may have to try the 90's one of these short trips when we have a car...although am pretty spoiled by the nice quiet lake view we usually have...wish they'd go ahead and decide what to do with the POP ghost buildings - it does interfere with the lovely lake view!

We just returned from our trip on Friday.

We stayed at Pop the 1st 3 days in a preferred room and had room 1117

It was a short walk to the lobby & the pool and we were very pleased.
We really didnt care about a view and I honestly dont remember a view
When we left the room we were too excited to start our day and when we returned we were only interested in getting some rest.

We stayed in Pop back at the end of June. 70's building, first floor, on the map referenced earlier in this thread, our room looked out towards the 80' building/70's parking lot.

Pros - room was ready early for us (by noon).
room was clean.
not too noisy.
not much of a walk to busses and classic hall.
had pizza delivery one night, not what were used to at home but it was pretty good. Plus took a picture of the delivery box top.

Cons - parking close was difficult at times.
no pools directly nearby, less noisy though.

What's wrong with the 90's roooms? We're staying at POP for the first time this December and I'm very curious to see how it is.

I dont believe anything is wrong with them! We stayed there in April in the 90's section on the 3rd floor and it was perfectly fine! The computer pool was right out back and it was maybe a 4 minute walk to the buses and lobby! Not far at all! i can't understand why everyone makes it sound so far!! It was not a far walk at all! It was actually very convient we requested 50's but we got there early and the 50's room wasnt ready so they offered us 90's or 70's and we took 90's and loved it!
