In regards to POP and magic bands.
- In response to the poster who said you will be notified 60 days out, it seems like that's what will happen eventually but right now they are still in trial mode. I'm 52 days out, staying at POP and to date I have NOT received email about magic bands or pre registering for fast passes. I was told I might not get them at all, I just have to wait and check back from time to time.... I'm hoping to get them because it will be easier for us to use the bands.

We are 2 adults with 5 kids...so we had to book 2 rooms...we requested adjoining rooms since we are one family unit, but they can't guarantee it....this is causing me stress. Anyone have experience with this? Did you have trouble getting adjoining rooms?

Thanks!

We've traveled with 4 or 5 kids on 3 different occasions always requesting connecting rooms at Pop and we've always gotten them...and we travel in late June when it's fairly busy...and on 2 of those occasions we had "kids" who were 18 or older. That was the only request I made on the reservations so that may have increased our odds.

I've seen a few people say that they weren't given connecting rooms at check-in but were able to get moved to them the next day. My advice would be to not stress about it -- the number of people who don't get that request is extremely small and it seems like Disney does try to work with those families to get them in to their requested rooms. If you don't have a preference for which building/area you want to be in, you will probably have a very good chance of getting connecting rooms. Pop has the highest number of connecting rooms of all the resorts...the odds are in your favor. :-)

This page has gotten to quiet.....where's my "checking in this weekend" peeps at??? :-)

We check in Friday! Plane lands just before 1pm, so we should be at POP around 2ish. It's been crazy around here lately and I haven't been on here much the last few days. To add to the craziness, DS threw up at school today and was sent home, but he seems to be doing fine. Hoping it was just a fluke thing. He will stay home tomorrow just to be safe. :goodvibes

Mickey mail arrived yesterday.....who hoo. I'm sooooo excited. Now my trip, really seems Real!!!!! Bags are out and ready to be packed.

Oh no!! I hope he feels better :)

Hey Pop friends!!

I know this is possible...well, at least I think it is... But I'm not quite sure how to go about it. How does one go about receiving mail at your resort? We are expecting something at home that will probably get there right after we leave for Disney and we have someone that can send it out to Pop for us. Is it as simple as putting it in an envelope with Pops address and our room # on it and sending it out? Or is there something else we would need to do. We are planning on letting the resort know, of course, so I'm sure they will give us a heads up on how it works but I thought I would throw this out there because I've always gotten great advice/help from my fellow DIS-ers!!

Thanks so much!!

4 more sleeps...I can't believe our trip is finally almost here! We are exited for our first stay at Pop.

If it's an important piece of mail, I would ask your friend to overnight it to you at Pop either through USPS or another service.

Janet B included some instructions for deliveries made to the resort as follows:

Shipping Packages to/from Pop Century Resort
Use the street address noted at the top of this post (it is in Post #1)
For packages arriving to the resort, the guest name and arrival date are essential
On the labels first line, include your name preceded by the word Guest and date of arrival ( i.e. Guest Minnie Mouse 08/27/11)
Your package will be held up to 2 weeks prior to your arrival
Pick up/ship your packages from the Concierge Desk
