I will be at Pop in 182 days!:rotfl: I am so happy I don't care were my room is lol! Just being there with my Ds is enough. :cool1:

33 days out. Broke out the suitcases today!! Lol

I'm not sure if ill need one or two. And if one weighs more than 50lbs then I have to take 2. I finished picking up all my dollar stuff items today too!!!

Soooo excited. Just trying not to think of the flight. I dislike it with a passion. Anxiety is awful on the plane. :(

But... Then I get to be in the best place ever!!!

ONLY 33 Days!!(now 32!) Not Too Early to Pack...That is the Fun of the Trip,,,the planning is what makes the excitement build!!:hyper:
I've never liked the "travel" part of the trip,,,flying gives me high anxiety!
I have to say though.....30 WDW trips from Chicago and counting, and all have been safe and secure....Don't focus on that part....Think of TyeDye Cheesecakes and the music that is EVERYWHERE...the little things that make WDW the precious memory that it is!!! Yay to checking off that list from the Dollar Store,,,you are practically there! Make sure to stop and watch a Movie on the Grass when you are back at the resort early enough,,,So Relaxing!!

Heading to POP with my DD5 and DD6 in a few weeks and I am nervous about my room requests :(
I paid for a pool view non preferred, but I also want to make sure it's not too loud outside our room. I know we will be so tired we will knock out. Any advice suggestions for room requests for online checkin?
Thanks
Krista

Your options w pool view non preferred are 50's or 90's preferred pool view is hippity dippity pool which is 60's section and close to the food court although 50's or 90's aren't bad at all we've been in all three :) it really depends on where you like to be :) I like the jukebox section of the 50's and building 9 i believe i forget which it is on 90's it 's the other side of the 80's packman building. Right near the sony walkman radio icon :) i wanna say it was building 9 walk out by the eighties and cut right across to the bus stops :)

I always pay a bit more for non-stop. I really despise the entire take off process. Plus my youngest has issues with ears and ony one time down don't bother her but if we have to do it more than once she is in a lot of pain.

Why did some of you choose to stay at Pop instead of AOA?

I'm not a fan. The theming is great but I'm sure I'm in the minority but the food court was just not for us. That and the fact that the main pool was huge and very crowded.

My "standard" opinion is that it's not worth the extra money to pay for the pool or preferred rooms. You can book a standard room and request, for example, 50's building 1 and still be just steps away from the Bowling Pool. I've requested and gotten my 50's building request (building I wanted + ground floor) each time.

I agree and there is no way I would pay for a preferred pool view room ever. I would be up all night. But I will say that is the only category completely booked for our stay. So there must be some love for it out there.

I usually ask for 60's facing the lake. We have been lucky to get it everytime.

I bet it's already been answered in this Monster(s Inc.) of a thread, but I'll ask any-who. Do The fridges in the average POP room have an ice box and a tray? I'm thinking of bringing a camel back and would like to fill it with ice or minimum put some cold packs in there.

Also, Are there any helium balloons for sale at everything pop so I can do the A/C sensor trick? If not. Where is the closest helium balloon? Lol.

One last off subject earmark. if i wanted all my photo pass and ride photos on one cd, how would i do that and what would the price be?

21 days to go for my first WDW trip ever. Lets do this!

Thanks for the info.

The refrigerator does not have an ice box. It's technically called a "beverage cooler." There are some photos of the fridge on the first page of this monster thread. There are ice machines on every floor at Pop, so that might help. You won't be able to freeze your cold packs, though.

Why did some of you choose to stay at Pop instead of AOA?
Because they didn't have connecting rooms. We wanted two connecting rooms and they have ZERO on property. The family suites are great, but our children are still young and we wanted them to be contained in a bedroom while we could still enjoy our evenings and decompress after they went to bed. At AoA we would have had to hold up in our bedroom while they were sleeping on the pull-out beds and that didn't sound like much fun.
With connecting rooms at POP, we can leave our connecting room doors open a little and enjoy more space after they are sleeping. PLUS, the two connecting rooms were cheaper than the family suite :)

AoA has connecting rooms, just not very many. The LM buildings at AoA are identical in design to all of POPs buildings. Actually, they were intended to be the other half of POP until they decided to build AoA instead.

Thank you!!! I've determined I definitely need the two suitcases this year for this trip! Lol so if 31 days out isn't exiting enough.... When I get back (may 22) I might get to go again 37 days later!!! Omg!!
Yup. My ex husband is taking the boys fur a summer holiday ( to PA... Lol) for 6 days and my gf wants to do a ladies/adult only trip!! Omg. My brain can't even process right now!!! Lol
Need to start number crunching and looking into discounts?!? for then. I have no clue what's available. Oh boy.... Breath...

Yes, I have non stop flights. I wouldn't book anything else. First time on jet blue. I've heard good things! And yes. Take off is the worst. Go up, drop a little, go up, drop some more. OMG. *Shudder*

:cool1::cool1: Just booked and happy to be heading back soon :thumbsup2

Another secret trip- Can't wait to see the look on DS' face! :rotfl2:

Great! I booked at pop for November and my kids don't know either!!! Can't wait to tell em so we can be excited together! :)

Yep, we will. :cool1:

Probably won't be down until later in the afternoon on the 19th, then staying until evening of the 28th. :)

Cool! Our flight gets in at 9 (had to wait to go until after work) and we are leaving early afternoon on the 28th! I will be on the scooter ecorated with the green Mickeys--if you see me, say hello!!

Hi all!

We will be staying at Pop Aug. 18 - 31. It will be our first trip to Pop and we are very excited! :yay:

I have been studying the map and I am trying to figure out where I would like to make my room request. We want to be as close to the mug refill station as possible! :drinking1

We are thinking about buildings 6, 10 (70's buildings) or 5 (60's building) and I forgot to add, we do have a preferred room booked.

So experienced Poppers.......which building do you think is closest to mug refill?
Thanks!!!!

Will be returning to Pop a week from today!:yay: Does anyone have a picture of the current refillable mug? If I'm staying close enough to the main building I'm thinking of going ahead and investing in one this trip and am wondering what they look like. Thanks for any help.

Just booked 2 standard rooms for our family for this summer! This may be our last trip before our oldest goes off to college. After many trips of cramming us into 1 room, we finally broke down & conceded that we needed 2. (Especially with teens!)

My only requests would be connecting rooms, & lakeview.

Just wanted to say that we were in the 50's section and it isn't the closest to the main bldg, but we found the resort to be easy to get around and not that spread out. From our room, facing the lake, it was a quick 2 min walk to the mug refills. :)
