Quantum Leap (original). It was about a year after it had finished, and reruns were being aired on USA and SciFi. I was 14 and was immediately hooked. It's still my favorite show to this day.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I was the perfect age for it, but for some reason I never watched it when it originally aired. I started watching it when it showed up on Netflix, and had to binge watch the entire series in 2017 before the license expired. Loved it and wished I would have watched it sooner.

I Love Lucy, if that counts. The ultimate feel-good classic that I've been watching for my entire life.

I also came to enjoy Any Day Now after it aired. The same with It's a Miracle.

I loved seeing the actor who played Brock as well as the one who played Van appear on happy's place last season.

That was amazing! Since I was watching Reba while Happy's Place was airing it was so fun to see how the characters have grown and changed. I really hope they get Cheyenne, Jake and Kyra on this season.

My dad is a big Hogan's Heroes fan. I didn't think about the "classics "before I was born when I wrote mine... but now that I'm thinking about it, I grew up on Nick at Nite (anyone remember their Block Party Summer?) and all my dad watches to this day are 50's and 60's sitcoms. I personally loved Green Acres, I Dream of Jeannie, I Love Lucy, Bewitched, Lassie, Mr. Ed, The Munsters.

But the one I was most into was Happy Days. I taped every single episode off Nick at Nite in order and had all the tapes carefully labeled. I think they might still be sitting at my parents' house. Ayyy.

Suits and Newsroom. I wish there were more Newsroom, or a reboot. Topics from the original air date are still so relevant today. Three seasons was definitely not enough.

a friend's mom primarily watches very old re-runs of game shows. friend says it's fun, challenging and can be a bit depressing watching 'the price is right' when she watches with her mom and it hit with the realization of how much prices have increased over the years I've often thought how if my dad were still alive he would LOVE some of the retro channels b/c he could sit for hours on end and enjoy 'gunsmoke', 'mutual of omaha's wild kingdom', 'hogan's heros' and others I vividly remember he faithfully watched.

Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad. It’s funny how some shows just slip past you when they originally air, and then years later you finally get hooked. Sometimes watching them without the hype makes the experience even better. When I was catching up on one of them, I kept noticing reruns on the disney channel, which made me laugh because I definitely wasn’t the target audience anymore. Still, a good story holds up regardless. Binge-watching older series can be a great escape.
