They may come from the same plant but coconut oil and palm oil are not the same thing. They come from different parts of the plant and their chemical makeup is very different.

That is true ,,,thank you ,,but anyone with severe allergies knows that they both have the same reaction to breathing and lung function proven daily in emergency rooms.......

AofA was already booked solid when I booked.

Except for the family suites. And at those prices, I may as well stay at the Contemporary or Poly. I hope to stay there next time, but I'm definitely going to be crossing that bridge and checking it out.

We booked thru Southwest Vacations this year. Can I still make room requests and what number do I call to make them? Thank you!

I'm no WDW expert, but if Southwest can't help you change them, call Disney at (407) 939-7429 to make requests. If you booked online via Disney World, it lets you make some requests online when you check in.

I booked southwest last year. Call the 407 WDW number and talk to a cast member. We were able to get our adjoining rooms, mind you that was our only request.

Why did some of you choose to stay at Pop instead of AOA?

We have to have two rooms. Even a family suite is too small for us. So we chose POP cause of price and the fact that we got a discount. If in sept. The discount isn't that much between staying at POP or AoA LM then me and my DD will stay at AoA. For us its all about price.

Why did some of you choose to stay at Pop instead of AOA?

When we were at Pop in August, the LM section of AoA wasn't open yet, so the only availability were the suites -- Cars, Nemo, and Lion King. For just two of us, that just didn't make sense economically. Going forward, I think I'd consider LM, but it doesn't appear that the room only discounts have been including LM. Some people complain that LM is a long walk to the main building and busses, and it certainly is farther away than the suites sections, but I wouldn't let that be a determining factor. Nevertheless, we've stayed at Pop probably 6 or 7 times and have always had a great experience. (My 2013 trips were at BWI in March and will be at BWI in August though.)

I am more than a year away from my Aug '14 trip and I'm sure I will have a million other questions, but here goes...

I'm 95% sure we will be staying at POP for the trip. It will be my girls (6 1/2 and 3 1/2 at time of trip) and myself.

The 2 times I have stayed previously, I was placed in the 50s area (1st time near pool with no issues, 2nd time preferred room).

With all these new categories I'm a little confused as to what will be a good choice. My only criteria is I do not want to be far from the food court and being near a pool. First floor would be nice, but am willing to let option go if I can be placed in a good area.

So here is what I am thinking and am looking on opinions:

1) Standard Pool: request 50s, but run the risk of being placed in 90s area.
2) Preferred: should I suggest a building??
3) Pool view: is it too loud? or would requesting an upper floor lessen noise??

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My "standard" opinion is that it's not worth the extra money to pay for the pool or preferred rooms. You can book a standard room and request, for example, 50's building 1 and still be just steps away from the Bowling Pool. I've requested and gotten my 50's building request (building I wanted + ground floor) each time.

I agree as both times I have stayed there, I was lucky in where I was placed. Thanks for your thoughts!

Yes, any Disney resort is open for those who want to visit and (especially) spend their money on food and souvenirs.

For example, I visited AoA earlier this year following my Disney cruise.

According to the rules, though, pools and recreation are for the use of paying guests only.

I'm not sure if ill need one or two. And if one weighs more than 50lbs then I have to take 2. I finished picking up all my dollar stuff items today too!!!

Soooo excited. Just trying not to think of the flight. I dislike it with a passion. Anxiety is awful on the plane.

Heading to POP with my DD5 and DD6 in a few weeks and I am nervous about my room requests
I paid for a pool view non preferred, but I also want to make sure it's not too loud outside our room. I know we will be so tired we will knock out. Any advice suggestions for room requests for online checkin?

I'm hoping for the 50's section that's preferred. It's away from both pops but close to transportation. Fingers crossed!
