We need to market these! Maybe in a Minnie Mouse pattern???(or a sexy Tinkerbell?)
They can't be that difficult to make. Where did you find them?
I see an Etsy store on our horizon!![]()
Haha, that would be a great idea, especially since they were just in a nude materialI found them at the "L'eggs hanes Bali Playtex FactoryOutlet" in our outlet mall. They were just on a little turnstyle by the checkout. If I head back that way, maybe I can sneek a picture and get the company name of who makes them. HAHA, you ladies are so funny!!

yes it is janet just one more month then i can check in for my cruise cant wait
We went to US/IOA in April during Spring Break. It was really busy. I had no problems using the lockers provided. At FJ, we didn't have to get in a separate line to use lockers and then get in another line for the attraction. It was all one line, but if you needed a locker, you went off to put stuff in the locker and then were merged back into the line. A number of people who didn't need lockers would get ahead of us, but it wasn't a big deal.
I tried to put all of our stuff in our pockets, but it was uncomfortable and I just decided to bring my little bag along and see how the lockers worked. They were fine everywhere we used them including at FJ.
That's just our personal experience however. And this has nothing to do with Pop, but I wanted to let you know that if you want to bring along a bag or whatever, it can be done relatively simply. The biggest hint is to go do FJ first thing in the morning -- early.
8536 minutes! Sooooooo close!
Starting the packing!
Has anyone heard or read any update as to whether POP and AoA will be sister resorts? I just read from the other thread that they will be.. I hope it's okay that I copied their quotes and post it here.. I just want some confirmation. Thank you.

Again???... Have they been changing minds if whether both resorts to be sisters or separate resorts? The last time I heard/read was they weren't (maybe not from this thread). But either way I'm sure there's pros and cons if they are sister resorts. For sure the pool at AoA will be packed... but I'm sure as years go by it won't be because the AoA won't be new anymore. Is AoA LM more expensive than POP?

The youngest is just 1 though, so we'd need to use Goofy's splash area and the kiddie pool.
We arrive in 6 days!Could someone help me decide what I should request for our room? We stayed in the Lady Building facing the 50's parking lot last time and it was nice and peaceful, and the walk to Classic Hall wasn't bad. This time we are planning on spending time in the water with our DD's. The youngest is just 1 though, so we'd need to use Goofy's splash area and the kiddie pool. We are only in a standard room and we still want a quiet room. So I'm thinking the 60's (preferably Baloo building) facing the lake, 4th floor. How does this sound? Seems like it would put us in close proximity to the splash area, the kiddie pool, the bigger pool for ODD and not as far as a walk as the 80's/90's area?
Hi all...
I am new to this board and I hope to find a lot of valuable information here.
October 7-13, 2012 I am taking my 5yr old daughter to her first Disney trip. My mom is coming along as well. We will be traveling from Curacao (island in the Caribbean).
I have been to the parks many times before although my last trip was about 15 years ago. So I am very excited to go back.
This will be my first stay at the Disney Resorts and have chosen the Pop with the QS Dining Plan. From what I've been reading so far, I made the perfect choice.
During our stay we will be visiting Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney.
We have already made reservations for Chef Mickey's and the Rainforest Cafe at the AK. Still looking around for the best places to eat at WDW.
One quick question...
Will we have access to our dining plan on our arrival day? We will arrive late in the afternoon. Or will this start on the next day?
First, to answer your question on the cost of the the LM rooms ... they are slightly more ($5/night).
Well, if POP and AoA do become be sister resorts, just hope that Disney doesn't extend that to sharing buses as well. The AoA pool of course will be a novelty, but it will wear off in time. Just don't know how often people will actually pool hop between the two resorts. It is certainly not as convenient as being at your own resort and having closer access to your room.
FYI ... Jenseib is a travel agent, and as such would definitely get a heads up on Disney info.

Goofy's splash are is gone. Just a padded area. no water.![]()
Perfect. We stayed in Bldg 5 (baloo) as well, 4th Floor, end room. We loved it!! Very quiet and close to everything.
I agree Janet....I think it won't be an issue after a while. Its not like it's going to be easy to grab all your gear and walk across the bridge to go swimming. Heck many Pop guests hate walking from one pool to another as it is.
This info was from 3 girls at my agency who were on an Agent education program. They got a surprise tour of AoA. I have only got bits and pieces from them so far.
They did say the brdige was planned to be opened so guests could go back and forth. The one gal said that the pools were planned to be open to both resorts...but it may change. This is just the early plans right now. However, I do not know how it will work, since the AOA main pool is supposed to be keycard accessed. Maybe it won't be till Pop changes over their key format (all resorts are supposed to at some point in time). Or maybe they will only have access to the other 2 pools.
She said that sharing buses is most likely not going to happen. When I went to the program last summer, they told us pretty much the same thing...but they did say, that there is a chance at very slow times that they will. I think they will be doing experimenting for a bit till they see how it all flows.
I am staying at AoA next Nov. for 3 nights....and I want to be able to go over and visit Pop.
It was cheaper for me to stay at AoA in a LM room, but at Pop , I would've stayed in a poolview preferred. At AoA, I'll be out in the boonies! But I really wanted to give it a try and my DD is over the moon about it too. We are trying 3 new resorts this trip, she knows about 2 of them, the 3rd being AKL. Thats just one night prior to cruising, and she has always wanted to stay there too, so it will be a big treat for her to check it out.
Ask me how I like moving around after trip though. We have 3 disney resorts, the Dream, and an offsite resort for 1 night as well. It will be fun. but I don't look forward to all the packing. I'll have to come up with a system.

Oh no, that's so sad to hear! I know that YDD would have loved that and I wouldn't have had to worry about her drinking the kiddie pool water![]()
Thanks, Janet!! So if I call can I actually request Bldg 5?
No experience personally, only what I read. The All Stars resorts (and sometimes the mods) are the usual areas for the Pop Warner kids; however, Pop has been known to have them too.
You have a standard room and are requesting lakeview (and an upper floor) which is good. I wouldn't want to be pool facing as would expect the kids to be in them at night and the noise level would be greater. At check-in you can also inquire if PW is at POP and ask to be located away from that area.
Good thing too .. is that PW doesn't really affect the crowd levels in the parks as they are competing during the days. The competition is usually the first week, do from the calendar it looks like 12/1-8. When will you be arriving?
ears2ya2 whenever I've been there during sporting/cheer/dance events we haven't been bothered too much. The football players were never any trouble at all. The cheer/dance teams seem to like to practice wherever they happen to be .... not all just some. Years ago we were staying at CBR and all the teams got up early in the morning and spread out thruout the resort and practiced their routines .... that only happened on that one trip and it really wasn't a deal breaker we just didn't need to set an alarm! My last trip to POP there were several large groups of girls and the were as nice as could be ... no problem. In fact one time they let all the other guests on the bus and waited for the next one. Because of the age of your children I think you'll be in different areas of all the parks than the PW kids. Follow Janet's advice and you should be fine. Enjoy your vacation!!!
