We went to WDW 5/11 - 5/18 and stayed at POP Century. We stayed in the 50s building and were given a room on the corner (closest to the pool). I can't remember our room # - I am thinking 5139, for some reason. It was great - close to the pool, close to the food court. I only remember hearing a toilet flush a couple of times and it never bothered us. In fact, we never really heard any noise.. ever! :)

I didn't care for the room decor, but I didn't figure we would get Hilton fashion in such an inexpensive hotel. We never got any towel animals, but the mousekeeper did rearrange the kids' Goofy and other Disney toys on the bed. One day, Goofy was holding Bitty Baby across his lap with the remote in his hand! One afternoon, he was sitting on the vanity, stacked on towels, holding a toothbrush! It was cute.

Food Court was good. The CMs were very helpful, as we were on the dining plan.

Bus service was GREAAT!!!!!! We never had to wait for a bus.. maybe once but only for about 5-10 minutes.. tops.

We bought the refillable mug - what a deal! Gotta recommend that.

All in all, I would recommend this resort to first-timers with little children. (our kids were 5 and almost 2).

I think next time we will try Coronado Springs or CBR but we did enjoy POP.

And can I say that the crowds were AWESOME!!!!!! Not bad at all. Perfect time of year to go. No rain.. only sunshine!

Thanks for the report!!! We love Pop and are headed back there in oh about 85 days now;) !! Glad you had a nice trip!

Jodi -- Just wondering, did you have reservations for a standard or preferred room? I'm hoping to score a room in the 50's section during our next visit after being placed in the 80's & 90's during our last few stays.

We had reservations for a standard room but were lucky enough to score a preferred at no charge! We got to check-in counter around noon and there was no wait at all. I noticed that that evening the check-in line was full, so I wonder if the fact that we arrived early helped in us getting a preferred room. I do have to say that it was really helpful being so close to everything.. especially with two small children!
