My postal carrier was nice to me! I got my new camera AND my Disney Visa Rewards Card!!!

We've been playing with the camera all afternoon.
I am hoping to have some pics to post on the Disney Picture of the Day thread when I get back!

And the rewards card should cover most if not all of our souvies. I am trying not to think about how much I had to have charged in the last two years to get this much rewards. LA la la la, I'm not looking, la la la.

We bought some GLOW Sticks at Dollar Tree the other day. We wanted to see what they looked like, so opened the tube. While carrying them into the house, we dropped half of them, making them light up So, my DD put them all over her room - It looked so cool that we are even more excited now for the GLOW Party! We are going back for more to light up our room at night while we are there

Heath started school today (2nd grade) He is getting so big! AHHH I hate it!

So when I went to the open house last night at his school, I informed the teacher and principal about the trip..........his teacher was awsome about it! His principal...not so awsome She was like "well if you already have it planned then you have to go but you may want to rethink vacation times next year". I told her that we had origionaly planned on going in May (when shool was out) but that DH broke his ankle so we HAD to reschedual. Well anyway...she was NOT mean, just wasnt thrilled. OHWELL__WHO CARES WHAT SHE SAYS! WERE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! Its a done deal...no turning back now!

It seems like yesterday was a pretty quiet day on this board. Today I can start my 30 day countdown. Even though I've been counting down since last year sometime, before I even made the ressies. Next month this time, we'll be getting ready to hit the road.

Luckily for you they didn't give you a hard time about it. Here in GA, they make the parents sign a form in agreement that if your child has 5 or more days of unexcused absences, you will find yourself in front of a judge. Parents can face jail time or pay a fine. I think it's ridiculous. It's so sad how the gov't can come into our homes and tell us what we can and can't do with our kids. Fortunately the kids will be out of school for fall break for our trip. I'm just pulling them out of school that Fri so I won't be driving during rush hour and also so that we can be there before dark.

ME..ME..ME I just found some great stuff at Dollar tree.. They have "Fall Leaves" on a string that I want to hang.. should look cool with the Halloween theme

Just wanted to let you all know I have been officially pronounced LEGAL!! Thanks again Kelli for my new baby monorail. Of course now I have that yucky "violation" thing on my user profile. Really Officer, I'm not a bad person!

Anyway, my new cool news is... added an extra day to our trip. DD is still thinking about auditioning while we're down there but auditions only take place on Thursdays at 4PM. We were leaving on Thurs. Unfortunately, the flights had almost doubled in price from when we booked so I didn't really want to change them. Well, yesterday, they dropped to close to what we had already paid (only $10 more) so I nervously called CRO to see if they had any availability. First CM said, absolutely you can add a day to your package. Ok, now I start second guessing myself. Maybe I better check w/DD. (she's also got an audition for a national tour of a Philly-based childrens theater on Moday in NYC. and on this topic, am I a bad mother for having mixed feelings about this? I so want her to get the job but it may mean she can't go to WDW with me?!?! ) Thankfully "Tweety" was on a break and she answers her phone. Go for it Mom!

Now I get back on the phone to WDW and on the computer w/SWA. Next CM says there is no availaibility for Pop for 9/27. WHAT?? 10 minutes ago it was no problem!!! Puts me on hold & contacts Guest Services. They say Promo is over & can't add a day. Ok, how about room only? Oh plenty of rooms for that! Good, give me one. Then he puts DH on the ressie. Now he has my original ressie info in front of him, why would he add Roger? 1/2 hr later, he still can't fix it. Meanwhile, I'm waiting to push the magic button to change our flight. Finally gives me a conf # and says, "call back tomorrow to make payment, systems has to fix the name error?!?!? ARE YOU SURE I HAVE A ROOM FOR 9/27??? So I change our flight and hang up. Still not convinced, I call back after dinner. This CM says if there's a room available it can be added to the package . Someone please get this straight! Guest Services again. This time they do indeed add a day to my package (I have it in writing!!!) DH is like, what is going on??? Just another example of "if you don't get the answer you want, call back!!"

Then I think OMG another ADR!! Too close, no availability!! Actually got 50's Primetime for exactly the time I wanted. We're always wanted to try this place but have never been able to fit it in before.

So that was my day yesterday. Thanks for listening. The family just gets that glazed look. They don't get the work involved here!!!

pooch, I can tell you from personal experience that if we do our jobs correctly we are noticed as much as the floor and missed as much if we should disappear. I once came home from a six hour shopping marathon (couponing days) and in the midst of unloading the 9 passenger station wagon and lugging the many bags into the house, my dear husband who was sitting and watching TV as he had the entire day, actually looked up at me and asked why I got to do all the 'fun' things. He is still living. I am a very kind person. I am glad that things worked out for you. Sounds as if you have your family's back. We understand a applaud your efforts!!

aksunshine, I am old enough to remember when a car could take a licking and still go on ticking but that is in the days when they had bumpers, not plastic, and most vehicles were in the same size range. I am sorry to hear it is worse than you had hoped. Thankfully it was nowhere near as bad as it might have been, but I know that is hard to remember right now.

keliblue, I cannot wait until I drive over to POP from my humble housing and watch YOU with your pina coladas. I like to people watch too.

good for you. Our original plan was to leave on Sat and come back Sat. Then I decided to leave Fri, come back Sat. Then after I saw it was a few $ more, I pushed our leave date to Sun. Another day to enjoy ourselves.

That's what's so great about our school.
I am the teacher.
I plan a trip to WDW for the whole class.
I get the principal's approval,
AND his credit card to pay for it.

Ahh, the joys of homeschooling....



Of course, to fit everything in I do school all summer. But I really like the flexibility.

Today is dd3's birthday. She is coloring in her Crayola Color Wonder Tinkerbell coloringbook to celebrate. Got to raise them up right....
