I'm ready!! I had to break down and buy fat shorts!! I really thought I could do better by me! I dont know how people wear pants/jeans in the heat and humidty!! I may rethink the shorts, I'm savin the receipt!!

Farah I just dont want to tell anyone about the trip! I know it will be "ok" but it isnt good, its her first year with "letter" grades... hear my sarcasm.. "ooooo, her permanat record" Go away!!

Sarah I applaud you for homeschooling - I'm afraid if I had to homeschool I may resort to physical violence - they're much safer at school!!! Seriously tho, I have thought about it, and dd and I talk about homeschooling for the jr hi years - what do you do about band? I know I could teach Spanish, but she really needs help in the social skills department... *sigh... I just keep praying about it... so far we're doing what we can!!

Ahh, the joys of homeschooling....


Of course, to fit everything in I do school all summer. But I really like the flexibility.

Today is dd3's birthday. She is coloring in her Crayola Color Wonder Tinkerbell coloringbook to celebrate. Got to raise them up right....

Hi everyone~
Didn't get online much yesterday. I'm just trying to finish up my packing here in Alaska. Should be back home in Oregon Sunday evening. Looking forward to getting back to civilization

Guess what?!?! I'm going to Disneyland!! My sister lives in Malibu & called yesterday to tell me she wanted me to come visit her so that she could see Hunter. I told her there was no way I could afford it since we are going to WDW. She called me back a few hours later & said she had just bought me a ticket on Southwest to fly Portland to L.A. and would buy me a 2 day pass to go to Disneyland & CA Adventure. That was soooo nice of her! I know she wants to see her nephew...could probably care less about me. So, Hunter & I leave on the 22nd (exactly 1 month before we go to WDW) to head to California. My DH is staying in Alaska for another month so he can go hunting with his dad, so this trip will be mostly just a girl's trip w/ the baby.

Is anybody gonna decorate their window? If so, come on over to this thread and get your name on the list.

Your post was so funny! I have so much respect for you homeschooling, there is no way I could every do it. I'd have such a hard time keeping a schedule.

Because you love Disney, Because you need a vacation just like everyone else, Because there is a party going on the 22nd.

Have you checked the singles board? There might be someone else going it alone too. I know lots of people that take vacation alone. They still have a great time. I wish I could help you out, but this is supposed to be a bonding experience for me and my DD. I would like to meet you at the party though!

We were planning on maybe sticking a dry-erase board to our POP door, and letting DISers put their username and a message. The window would also be decorated with our usernames, and LGMH's.

So, do you think it would work? If you say a door/window like that would you sign your name?

I think I read in Alicia's pre-trippie(?) that she has one as well. I think it's a great idea especially since there's so many of us staying at Pop!

OK, so one day we all have to walk all around Pop up and down the floors looking for each others doors!!
I wonder about just tacking up a White Construction Paper and having a Lime green marker for all to sign with??

Its so close!! I'm still telling DD we should just go - she replied "Mom, seriously, you cant get adrs its far beyond 180 days!!" I've trained her all right!! So I tell her... "well things get cancelled at 30 days, so I'll call and see what's available 30 days from now, where do you want to eat? Ohana, Kona and Stich" Good thing I already have ressies for those places!!

If you have your mind set that you will not have fun because you are alone then thats exactly what will happen. If you REALLY dont want to go by yourself then Then dont...cancel the trip and reschedual it for a later date so that you can have time to find someone to go with you. If you do decide to still go alone I think you will have a great time once you arrive and are surronded by all things Disney but thats just my opinion. Lets us know what you decide.

Disneyland? Woo-hoo! Nothing like a little DL to get you in the mood for WDW, not that we need anything else to get us in the mood, right? Being on the West coast with a sister in So Cal I'm sure you've been a million times, but we were just there last December so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

This will be your first trip with Hunter, right? It will give you a chance to see what works, what doesnt, what he likes, what he doesn't, how he reacts to various characters and attractions. And, most importantly, whether he likes Dole Whips.

I was thinking about the whole dry erase board/butcher paper thing. Where did you all find your dry erase boards with magnets? It'd have to be fairly small, so it wouldn't take up too much room in the suitcase. Alternatively, I'm thinking of bringing a tinkerbell notepad my dh and dd bought for me last trip. It has a magnet and is only 6" by 7". It currently sits on the front of my refrigerator, but it might be the perfect thing for DIS peep autographs. Still trying to figure out the best way to attach my LGMHPC's to my hat (cause I'm afraid no one will see the one(s) on my baggallini).

I got a Lime Green- framed one off ebay. It's about 7" x 9". I bought magnetized markers to go with it from wally world. You can get locker sized magnetized boards in the office supply area of wally world. Especially right now!
