POP CENTURY ... LAST WEEK of SEPT. 07 MEET

You guys are awesome !!!:grouphug: you really make me feel so much better about this:) I WILL PREVAIL :goodvibes

Love you all soooooo much :cloud9:

keliblue, you are not only going to prevail but you will positively GLOW!!!

eeyore45, is not the DIS a fantastic place? I got a PM from someone who has never met me offering me their PH coupons this morning. I read on another thread that someone was having problems with their keyboard and someone else offered theirs for free and would ship it! I see things like that most every day. We all know and care about each other without knowing the color of our skin, religion, politics, economic situation or anything mundane. We learn each others hearts by reading our postings and that is what matters. :cool1:

It was all started by a Mouse! It is the commonality of that love that gives us a basis for immediately being receptive to each other. Ummm, would be a pretty good basis for life huh?

WOW.. Well said my sister  You are going to get the biggest hug when I meet you

keliblue, you can a bigger one right back!

Just make sure I know who you are because between my bad hearing and my husband's constant talk I seldom can hear a darned thing at all. It is either feast or famine with Tom. He will either talk on and on or ignore you. It is just his way. :rolleyes1

I, too, send all my love and prayers to you. I cannot know what the future will bring but I know there is strength and support in numbers and you have LOTS of people (people you don't even know yet!!) pulling for you. I have faith you will break your family's cycle with this.

Remember we all love you!:grouphug:

Since I believe I might be the oldest one on this thread I will share a bit of wisdom that I have learned.

Good news shared is multiplied.:cheer2:

Bad news shared is divided. :grouphug:

Simple, but so true. :thumbsup2

BAck atcha!!

It is an amazing place - every now and again I've read how someone "scammed" the good hearted souls, but in the end, its mine to give, there is something said for Karma - - Thanks for your insights Slightly Goofy!!

How many more days??? :yay:

(DH just called and asked when our dates were... AGAIN!! I told him, and he said I had them wrong!! :faint: I checked the airline tickets we have... right dates, I checked with the Pop confirmation same dates... :snooty: dh says "but that's not the dates I asked off for!" :faint:

he fixed it... good thing!! :goodvibes

ummm I'll bet you arent!! But I stopped counting my age... at least 5 years ago... having a dd 10 keeps me young!! ;)

eeyore45, since one of my grandchildren is 10 (and he is not the youngest) I rather doubt that I am going to lose my title as oldest. I just had a birthday too. :cool1:

I have been scammed a few times in my life however after reading a chapter in a book by Ruth Graham it totally changed my attitude. I have also been the beneficiary of some awfully kind deeds too.

I believe in the 'pay forward' thing rather than the 'pay back'. It goes further and besides if you start counting each and every deed it takes away the fun, for both parties. It is the unexpected kindness that brightens a day.

That is why I never expect anything from my children. I am seldom disappointed and if they should ever do something nice it will be a delightful surprise. Still waiting for a birthday card, for the past several years.

Dinner to fix. Fun never ends.

Hi all,

I know no one is on here as I type this but just wanted to share my news. I got my vouchers today :cheer2: I am sooooo excited. This is confirmation that my trip is right around the corner. I wasn't expected them for at least another week. What a way to end my Mon.

minnieandme, now it is really real. You have concrete proof in your hand that you are "Going to Disney World"! :cheer2:

lovemickeyshouse, I am about as UNsingle as you get and also am so old that the last time I was in Philadelphia I went to see the Liberty Bell and it was uncracked but thought I would say 'Hi" as I keep running into you everywhere. Hope you find a Disney friend.

Kelli - Sending you more :grouphug: and pixiedust:

Alicia - Sorry to hear about your DH's accident. :grouphug: Glad to hear he is ok!

Christine - That sight is Great! I want the cups and the straws.... but alas I think I'm already gonna be glowing from head to toe, so I doubt DH would be too thrilled if I bought more glowing stuff :confused3
I also thought the Roli Poli Olie cake was GREAT!!! I have NO creativity, so I dream about cake decorating, but have yet to dare attempting it.

One day closer!!! Disney here we come!!

Keliblue - Praying for you!

Just wanted to say that my dh can't hear in a crowd either, even though his "loss" is not official. Just speak slow and loud and he'll get the jist.

He's an auto plant floor manager who wants to be Indiana Jones, and is pursuing an anthropology degree.
He also likes pro football, military history, philosophy, and martial arts.
So if anyone is into any combination of those things, he'll have a friend. LOL

:sad2: I would be FREAKED. Dh asked me so many times what our dates were, they'd better be right at work.

Mine should be on the way then!!! :cool1:

I'm actually getting a little nervous!

I had to cancel a short trip to my mom's (long story, but it's ok) and the thing I consoled myself with is that I could start packing for WDW!

So the matching t-shirts are in one of the suitcases, as are the swimsuits (although we may need them by then), and the rain ponchos!

I called and tried to adjust our Chef Mickey's dinner res for an earlier time (had tried before and was offered 9 pm!), hoping that there was a cancellation (small chance, considering we're a party of 15!) and was told
"It's totally SOLD OUT for that night."
Well, I kind of figured, but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?
The restaurants are going to be HOPPING!!!

DH is still wanting to take one night and go to PI, but I hate to ask my mom to sit, as she is not coming along to be our nanny. Sigh.
I think I will play it by ear on that one. There may be a night it works out.

Anyway -- Hope everyone has a great week! :goodvibes

Disney MOM - well my dh is also hard of hearing (he found out when we took our ds at age 3 and when ds was 'aided' and raising his hand - ds couldnt hear it - and thought ds was just raising his hand randomly!!)

dh does enjoy philosphy, camping, hiking,(he's a Scoutmaster) he really wants to climb a mountain - is there a mountain in Alaska??
he is a 'computer nerd'

That Glow site had awesome cups, straws, earrings.. and how can you not go for the $2.75 cubes?? You can get glow cubes in drinks at Epcot and other places btw! (but those had a button, ours you have to whack!)

Disneymom - I'm also trying to adjust some of our adr times - but at least we have adr's -

I really am getting a crowded vibe - no one wants to hear it i know, but as long as you plan, and you expect crowds - you're prepared!!

I'm hoping dd will get an opportunity to babysit some while we're there - she's getting Red Cross Babysitting Training, but there arent many opportunities here!! (she'll be 11, but with the older boys - she's really closer to 14!! :rotfl2: )

Kellie - still thinking of you!!

Canadianguy just made me get rid of the monorail in my siggie!! Said it was too big for board guidelines. Since I haven't the foggiest idea how one makes things the correct "size", I can't shrink it Although I've seen it in many other siggies, don't know why mine was unlawful:confused3

Miss my monorail!!! Ok, found another one, hope it's ok!!! Now I think maybe not, too large a file (bytes?) Gonna lose it again!!!!!

Hmmm...these boards can be a little bit scary. I've participated on loads of message boards on topics ranging from Ragdoll cats to gardening to Disney to single parenting, etc.

I can't remember a single one wth so many "rules". I suppose its a necessary evil because of the sheer size of the membership.

Still....scary!

OK, my family is IN!

This is the first night we arrive. And I think we'll be all settled in around 7:30 or so. I'm hoping to get a pool view on the first floor....:wizard: That would be lovely!

I just need to write down the details like time, place, etc.

I'll bring the diet Pepsi and Nemo fruit snacks!
