Add me into the Friday take off list!!! I leave Buffalo at 7:05... Dirrect Flight into Orlando!! I love it!!! we will be arriving at 9:40! I can't wait~~ these past few days have been dragging!!! I went to the Dollar Store tonight and got some Glow Sticks so i'm all ready to go!!! I am also decortaing my window so be on the lookout for a halloween themed window!!!

Our flight leaves at 7:30AM. All you 6 AM'ers make sure you get to the airport early. Last trip I made the mistake thinking there would be no traffic, no lines, etc..... We tried to check our bags in about 45 minutes before our flight and they wouldn't let us on the flight! Too late!

To make the story short, DH & DD got on the scheduled flight while I had to fly standby on a later flight with our luggage

I was upset at first, almost in tears, but then I realized I had peace & quiet for the next 2 hours

It all worked out in the end, just an hour or two later than planned.........

Yesss... $$ and time are very precious commodities these days with a Disney trip on the horizon! IMHO, dressing up is half the fun of MNSSHP! (the other half, of course, is being in my twenties and trick-or-treating ) Even if you have to throw something together with stuff you have lying around the house. Also, I'm pretty sure you get a free family photo with your ticket, and being in costume really makes it special. Sometimes, homemade costumes are the best costumes anyway!

BTW - I see a list of glow juicers on the first page of this thread. Are people bringing things to contribute?! If there is anything I can bring, let me know! DBF and I will have the this time!

ITA with you! I think dressing up is half the fun! Hopefully we can come up with something! Let us know what costumes you guys decide one.

I think we've pretty much got everything covered for the Glow party Just bring your glowing selves

Hey all... just wanted to let you know they made it there on schedule yesterday.... no problems.... Went to MGM.... Farrah says crowds are pretty good and pop not too crazy busy or anything.... she's near ground floor facing bowling pin pool....

plane takes off 7:35AM Friday!! I packed 3 WEEKS AGO. Now I need to take it all out because I can't remember what I put in!!!!!!

That's how I justify not packing anything until the last minute! Even with a 2 page, 4 columns per page checklist, I'm still too paranoid to trust my checkmarks. I really think I need 2 or 3 sets of checkmarks--one for when I did it, and a couple more for when I check to see whether I really, truly did it.

Add us to the crack of dawn Friday list--our flight is at 6:30! Hmm, maybe I'll take down the suitcases tomorrow. I can hardly wait to put faces to (screen) names!

That's awful At least you did look at the bright side Our flight leaves on the 22nd at 8:00am. We should arrive in Orlando at 11:30am then it's off to rush to Pop to check-in and head over to MK to catch the monorail to Chef Mickey's for dinner at 5:10 pm Can't wait! Wish me luck with my lap baby for 2.5 hours

I have no list, I have not packed. I have a dd still so nervous about flying... I have spent $60 on pharmaceticals (benadryl, bonine, sudafed, wrist seabands, tums, ginger, ginger, ginger etc etc...)

and that's $60 I cant spend in DISNEY!!

Somewhere I hid a shirt I bought months ago at the Disney store, it is white with gold PRINCESS on it.. I thought it would be perfect for BBB - do you know where I hid it? I have no idea... I thought it was in the bag - but no - that is our CHRISTMAS gifts!! I could've sworn I bought the shirt the same time I bought the Tink purses, and the Tink coffee mugs!!

DID everyone remeber to
stop newspaper and mail deliveries? I almost forgot!! Luckily got that down today!!

Also there was a reported sighting of Slightly Goofy I forget where, or when -
apparently she got a front of the line pass - and passed it along to a dis'er that dis'er was so touched she posted her thanks on a board... some speculation ensued, but Janet2K posted it must be slightly goofy, and she posted a pic of them together!! It became confirmed - the diser said something to the effect... "you know she said she was over 50 and slightly goofy, I didnt realize "slightly goofy" was her screen name" LOL

I was going to see if we were on the same flight, but I'm out of Midway. What airline are you flying? It was United where I had the problem with checking in late. I would say get there 1 1/2 hours before your flight & you will be fine. Our flight is at 7:30 & I plan on getting to Midway at 6:00AM just to be sure I get those bags checked in 45 minutes early...... Apparently, that is the rule for most airlines now. And, it is now a federal law that you have to fly with your bags. Or at least that is what the lovely lady from United told me when she refused to check us in.......

BTW...I just have to share, I FINALLY got my WDW documents and ME tags from my TA today And she sent along 2 of the cutest Donald plushes dressed like pirates from WDW for both girls and two pair of minnie headband ears for the girls. So cute

Hi Everyone, I'm Hunzi, and apparently I'm the anti-packer. ("Hii Hunzi!)

We leave in in 48 hours. I have stuff everywhere. Ebags is supposed to deliver the nice wheelie duffle I ordered last week tomorrow. I just went out and bought my 3rd cooler that I've bought for this trip - I'm like OCD about this cooler. One was kind of big, so I bought a 2nd that was one of the ones that keeps the ice for 5 days, but then I got it home and realized it's HUGE, so today I bought a 3rd one, a nice size, but I'm worried about whether all the stuff already packed in the HUGE cooler will distribute to the new duffle plus 3rd cooler. My biggest worry about the 2nd cooler was getting to the airport and having them say it was too big.

I finished ironing all the transfers on our shirts today. DD13 wanted matching shirts for every day. Normally I'd like to pack in a carry on, but with shirts for 11 days x 2, plus MNSSHP costumes, room decorations and all the other usual "pack like we're on African safari" stuff, I'm using all 4 bags we can take plus will probably have a carryon of some kind.

Traveling is such an adventure.

You'll know my room, just look for the moving van when we arrive!

Hunzi, anti packer, dont forget to weigh those bags - those airlines are sticklers for the 50# weight limit - anything over is gonna cost you - maybe google it?

I just bought a rolling cooler that collapses from Sam's Club - and then I shipped it! Along with the glow sticks!! Good stuff for the glow juice too - hope its there now!!

OK, checked my bags last night and, surprise!! everything I put in there is still there!!! DD & I will each carry an oversized bag on the plane. Was originally going to be just one going down with the other packed in a suitcase for the return trip. But, since she has to bring her audition material , we'll need both on the way down. Then I have 2 duffle type suitcases and I've packed a small collapsable(sp?) cooler to hold all those leftover desserts for breakfast!!!DD hasn't packed a thing yet and today, she's in NYC at another audition. Left at 4AM and probably won't be back until 8PM so, no packing happening today!

It hasn't really sunk in that in 2 days, we'll be taxiing down the runway!

Again, Godspeed to you all for a safe trip and can't wait to meet you!!

Ok, guys, I'm starting to panic and not only have insomnia, but heartburn on top of it. I'm so excited about meeting everyone at the Glow Party... BUT I've been thinking about the fact that with our 9:20 dinner ressies, it will probably be close to 11pm before we get to POP
I have all my glowing stuff and my glow juice plans, etc I can't wait!!! I'd just hate to get there and no one be out at the pool still.

Congratulations on finally getting your documents ! I know I was happy to get mine last week. I just don't feel like I'm really going until I get those documents. The plushes and headband ears were a nice touch.

Good morning everyone!

I'm starting to get in full panic mode as well Why is that everytime I think I have thought of everything that I could possibly need, I think of something else

But, I'm one of the overpackers, right pooch , and I already sent a 41 pound box that arrived at Pop yesterday, I still have those 25+ hairbows to pack , not to mention everything else and I really do think I am bringing everything except the kitchen sink Maybe it's a first-timer thing...well that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Pretty soon I really am going to be talking to myself over here since most of you leave before I do! Safe travels everyone! Can't wait to join all of you on the 22nd!
