Will PC (Classic Years?) be fully operational in January?

Opening day is December 14th. I'm guessing it'll be two days or so before all the buildings get opened up. So, yes, by January, everything will be up and running. :)

I remember reading somewhere on the boards (maybe this thread) that only one floor of each building will be opening this winter. Is this correct? Or, will they be opening all the rooms up? I assume that's what you are saying. Thanks. ::MickeyMo

I'm not at the resort itself just yet, so I can't really say. I'll let you know as I find out.

13 nights in late May-early June. We were going to go to SOG but the new Disney Visa deal and the fun look of PC changed my mind. We're getting psyched! Keep the inside info coming Tyler.

Those pictures on Mousesavers are great! Thanks for posting the link. We are really getting excited now as it's only just over 2 months and we'll be at PC!!!!!!

I have t o admit I thought We would never stay at this resort. But Know that I have Seen Some pictures I can't wait. I Love the All Star Movies for a Value I would rather stay at a Moderate. But Pop Century looks really neat and I love the enterior rooms.

My question is the pool that is shaped like a computer monitor what section is that located in?

Thanks KELLY

Tyler........ got a question. I am fortunate enough to have gotten two rooms at POP opening day, we are really anticipating this day My family and I are debating what this day might be like..... Do you think it will be hectic like alot of people crazy confusion? or being that disney had done this so many times.... will things run smoothly? Also my daughter brought up a possible senario... Will there be characters there? Whats your prediction of this day? Do you know of any special activites and/or events for that day? Also we will be on florida the days before visiting relatives.... so should we get there early? TELL ME TELL ME.........we re getting nuts here counting down the days@!@

I'm not at Pop quite yet... still have a month left in Bus Operations. So, until then, I can't answer your question. However, for my sake (and yours!) I hope things go smoothly! :)

Tyler, do you know if there will be a laundry section in the 1960s buildings ? - I just booked 2 rooms for April 18-28 in the preferred section and cant wait!:Pinkbounc :hyper:

I just changed our reservations with our super, fabulous travel agent from CBR to Pop Century for ten days at the end of May! Very excited and a little nervous considering we are a family of 5 (including the 2.5 year old) The children were really "wowed" by the pictures of the large icons and the added bonus of it being a sparkling, new resort for nearly 450. less than CBR. I think I made a good decision...Right? I requested courtyard of the 50's building but I cannot figure out what the wall icons are...they look like packages of some sort and 45's??

Can't wait till May!!

E. :goodvibes

wiskband - we were there for Opening Day at the ASMO. It was purely by accident so we didn't see any special opening activites. Found out it was Opening Day when we checked in around 3PM. But I can tell you everything ran really smoothly! We got a nice medallion on a ribbon with the All Star logo on front and "Disney's All-Star Movies Resort Grand Opening January 15, 1999" on the back. Also got an ASMO pin.
The whole Resort was not finished yet. Only the Duck Pond pool was open and I think only the Dalmations and one other section were in use. The food court and store was open and fully functional the first day. Buses were all running (but not too crowded yet LOL).
Really getting excited about being at PC on Opening Day!
Thanks so much for all the info and pics!

Tyler,

I know you are still in Transpo.. I bet you will miss your purple pants. I just have a question about PC. If you can't answer it yet, that is okay.

Lady and the Tramp are the 50s and Jungle Book is the 60s?
Which is the preferred building? and Are all rooms in that area preferred?

my dd loves Lady and the Tramp LOVES them. But I do not know if I want to pay the extra $10 if its all preferred. I don't mind the walk and as a backup she likes Baloo alot, but he's no "Lady".

Thank you!
