Just wanted to let everyone know that we are headed back to WDW tomorrow for the weekend so no updates until next week. But, you will get a bonus TR within this TR with our weekend trip!

Hi everyone! We are back once again. We had a great weekend at WDW. The Wilderness Lodge is just gorgeous! I am paying for my two weekends away at work this week though. I hope to get at least one more update done before Christmas. Thanks for reading!

Today was our DHS day! This was the only full day my dad would be here and there were so many things he wanted to do here. I wanted to try and get there as close as possible to park opening which was 8 am for EMH. Dad and I were up at 6:15 and ready to go nice and early. But, we had to wait on mom and Sam. We ended up leaving the room at 8 am – not too bad!

We took a very crowded bus to DHS. This was our first experience with a very rude bus driver. She kept yelling for those standing to move back further. She wasn’t going to start driving the bus until she got a certain number of people on. She was speaking in a non-Disney like tone of voice too. This is the day I should have driven myself – DHS is right around the corner from POP. But anyway, we were finally crammed in the bus and on our way.

We entered the park and went straight for Toy Story Midway Mania. It was about 8:20 and there was already a 50 minute wait. The fast pass line was huge also with a return time of 10:30. I got in line to get our fast passes for later. The theming of the area was so fun and I couldn’t wait until we were able to ride!

We decided to split up until our fast pass return time. Sam and I went to ride Rock n Rollercoaster – her favorite ride in all of WDW! We pretty much walked right on if I remember right. We then just walked around some stores and did some pin shopping. My parents did the Great Movie Ride and the Backlot Tour.

It was finally time for our Toy Story Mania ride! I rode with my mom and Sam rode with grandpa. We had so much fun! I wasn’t sure what to expect on this ride – I had heard so many people rave about it but thought I may be disappointed with it. I have to say that I was really impressed with the ride and I absolutely loved it! I beat my mom and took a picture (now lost forever) to prove it. We all really enjoyed the ride and decided to get another fast pass for later.

We had an early lunch reservation at Sci-Fi so we didn’t really have time to do anything else. We walked through Writers Stop store (love this store) for a while until it was time for lunch. I was looking forward to taking my parents to Sci-Fi, I thought they would love the atmosphere there.

We got seated right away in our car at Sci-Fi. My parents sat in the front and Sam and I were in the back. My mom and dad were amazed by the inside of the restaurant – they really thought it was cool! Our waitress wasn’t the greatest but the food was yummy! We all had burgers (except Sam who had a hot dog). For dessert I had the apple crisp which was ok – I thought the cheesecake I had last time was better. Sam had the kid’s sundae and my parents split something but I can’t remember what it was. All in all it was a great lunch in a fun place.

After lunch we decided to split up again. Sam and I were really tired and she was getting a bit crabby so I though she and I would go back to the room to rest for a bit. She wasn’t really in to seeing the shows (Indy and LMA) that my parents wanted to see and we were planning for a late night so I figured she should rest. We stopped on the way out to get a fast pass for RnRC for later. On the way to the bus back to POP I had a bright idea to do something else…….

Yay! I'm getting confused with this past weekend trip! Duh. I was thinking, "They did DHS, then went to Epcot and Candlelight Processional"? Ok, I'm straightened out now. Nice update and cute pictures. I can't wait to hear about your bright idea! I hope to ride TSM some day. It was nice to read your update and get in a little better mood. Thanks!

YAY for doing Toy Story Mania!! Bill and I love that ride, we giggle all the way through it. Since he has Cerebral Palsy, his right hand doesn't work, so I move the gun around, try to aim, and he does the "shooting".

It is so great you get to go to WDW with your parents, you all looked so happy. I wonder where you decided to go? I can't wait to find out!!

I love, love, love TSM!!! So fun! As well as Sci-Fi! That's a great picture of your parents in the front seat!

Isn't it funny how crazy TSM gets in the AM, but then if you look around in your photopass pics - the park, overall, looks empty!! That ride really does pull everyone toward it, doesn't it?

Great update! The photopass pics of you and Samantha really cute! I love the Stitch one. Kaylee and I have the same picture . It is so crazy over by TSM. Glad you all liked the ride. Sci Fi looks great too, it's on the must do list or next time since we missed it. You should have stuck with the cheesecake since I rememeber you telling me how much you liked it. Glad I'm not the only who's daughter turns grouchy in Disney when she gets tired . Wondering what else you decided to do??? Oh and I'm glad you had a good weekend in Disney! Yipppeeeee an update! When we were there in October, we didn't get to ride TSM fastpasses were gone for the day and there was about a 90 min. wait.. sooooo.....we didn't wait Hopefully in about 3 weeks we can.

I love the FP pics....thank goodness for PP huh? Sorry you are having to work so hard.

Hey Sara! My poor camera is in so many of the pictures, isn't it? I have to say that I don't really miss it as I love my new camera. I just wish I could have the pictures from it.

So our plan was for Sam and me to head back to the resort to rest a bit while my parents saw a few shows. I knew Sam wouldn’t sleep but she was getting a bit crabby so I thought some down time would do us both some good.

On the way to the bus stop I had a bright idea that maybe we should head to DTD first. I was looking for a paper towel holder I had seen on a prior trip and had promised Sam she could pick out a new game. What I thought would be a little detour ended up taking all afternoon!

Since you can’t get a bus directly from DHS to DTD we decided to wait for the Pop Century bus and then transfer to a DTD bus at the resort. I knew Pop was very close to DHS so I thought this was a good plan. What we should have done was gotten on the first resort bus we saw. The Pop bus took about 45 minutes to arrive. In face, we never got a Pop bus. The line was getting huge and all of a sudden a VIP bus stopped to pick us up. Not sure what was up with the busses that day. We finally got to Pop and waited about 20 minutes for the DTD bus. By this time I was thinking I made a bad decision to head to DTD but we decided to go through with it.

When we got there we first went to Once Upon a Toy for Sam to pick out a game. Turns out she picked out one she could have gotten at the Pop gift shop. Next up was the kitchen store. They didn’t have the paper towel holder I was looking for. I asked about it and the CM told me they didn’t make it anymore. By this time we were both tired and decided to head back to Pop for a while.

We got back to our room around 3:00 and wanted to be back at DHS by 4:15 so we didn’t get much resting done. Oh well, lesson learned!

We had plans to meet my parents in front of Toy Story Midway Mania at 5:00 to use our fast passes. We got back to DHS around 4:00 or so and got some photopass pictures on our way in. We decided to get a snack – I had wanted to try the spicy pretzel (which was great) and Sam got a bag of chips. We sat a bit eating our snacks and watching some streetmosphere which is always fun.

While we were at DTD that afternoon my parents had seen the Indiana Jones show, Lights Motor Action and Beauty and the Beast. They had enjoyed everything and even had some time to sit and relax in between.

We met my parents for another Toy Story Mania ride which was just as fun as the first time. This time I rode with my dad and Sam rode with Grandma. I was beating my dad the whole time up until the last few scenes. He made me take a picture of the scores to prove he beat me and now I tease him that since I lost my camera there is no proof!

After our TSM ride we decided to split up again and meet by the Fantasmic entrance around 6:00 or so. Sam and I went to use our RnRC fast passes but the fast pass line was super long. I’m not sure what the deal was – the CM couldn’t give us any information – but I’m guessing maybe the ride was down? We didn’t want to take a chance and get stuck in line so we left. My parents went to see the Prince Caspian exhibit which they thought was just ok.

Sam and I decided to get something sweet while we waited for my parents near Fantasmic. Sam got a giant peanut butter cup thing from Starring Rolls and I got a yummy chocolate chip cookie. My parents showed up shortly after we sat down with our snacks so they got something also and we all sat watching some more Streemosphere for a while.

We had every intention of staying for Fantasmic but it started to rain. It wasn’t super hard rain but we decided to head back to the resort anyway. All of us (except for Dad) had seen Fantasmic before and though we loved it we were ok with missing it tonight. We were really planning to see it for Dad’s sake but he said he’d rather go back to the resort and take Sam to the game room for a bit.

So, back to Pop we went. We got a light dinner there in the food court and Grandpa and Sam played in the game room for a while. We were all pretty tired and were back in the room pretty early. Sadly, it was time to start packing up as the next day we were leaving.
