He's supposed to fly out tomorrow morning for another week long business trip in Arkansas. He just got home a few days ago from the same.

Last night he complained of nausea.
Today, fever, sweats & vomitting (something he rarely does).

:(
I hope it's a one day thing. He's going to need to decide SOON if he needs to cancel his trip!

It would be nice to have him home -- but not if he's sick. :(

I hope this is a short lived illness, how miserable to have to travel when you are unwell.

Does not sound like the flu, more like the stomach virus that is running rampant. He may have picked it up on the airplane. Usually the first 24 hours are the worst though he may not feel well another 24 hrs. Good luck to him and to YOU(in caring for a sick man ;) , and in trying NOT to get this!)

Thanks for the info about the stomach virus. I'll tell him - hopefully it will make him feel better knowing it maybe over soon.

Yes, I had warned him last week (last trip) of the "evils" of flying this time of year with all the recirculated air (& germs) in the plane. I suggested he take precautions to staying healthy. He didn't listen. He's a man. :)

I always get sick this time of year. Two yrs ago when flying to WDW 1st wk of December, I vowed I would NOT be sick on vacation. Followed all my own adivce -- and I was fine.

However, got sick after arriving in WDW last Sept because I didn't follow my advice. LOL

DD woke up with it yesterday, but is dancing around today(kids seem to bounce back quicker sometime!)! Make SURE he follows the BRAT diet when his appetite returns. Banana's, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. No dairy for a couple days. DD is into "soups" today. I guess we utilize a BRATS diet ;) ! I hope it passes quickly for both your sakes!:D
PS-Make sure he stays hydrated with small sips of clear liquids as long as he can tolerate it!

Our ENTIRE family just got through it. It's about a 1 day thing, although he'll feel pretty weak tomorrow.

Thanks guys. Actually he got up a few hours ago & had soup for dinner. I reminded him about the fluids. He seems to be doing better. No more sweats.

He just finished packing & it seems he'll be leaving in the morning on his flight. I told him to go back to bed & rest; but NO - he's a MAN - he's downstairs watching a movie & it will be over at 12:30am!

Thing I'm worried about is I KNOW he won't take care of himself while he's gone.

I told him to pack pepto bismal. And Dayquil & Nightquil just in case it turned into something else. I pack all that stuff when I travel anyway (from experience)!

Thanks again!!
