Pool side adult beverages??

We stayed at the WL on our last 2 trips and the pool bar (Troutpass) is fantastic. The bartenders are great, and they make a drink called the Lodge Fizz that is unbelievable! So good I had to take my user name from it! (Don't judge me! LOL) The afternoons at the pool were truly one the highlights of our trips. Will be at the beach club in April, and somehow I think the drinks will be pretty good there too!

Y&BC will bring you your drink...but you can be in for a loooong wait when it's croweded. Often easier to walk to Hurricane Hannah's counter yourself.....

Definitely take her to world showcase to sample some of the adult beverages available....we like the champagne cart in france and of course, the rose and crown. ;)

I can't wait for next month at the WL and sipping some drinks by the pool.

I have to say that the banana split concoction from AKL looks to die for. I love coconut or banana flavored drinks. It's making my mouth water now. :lmao:

How about the bar inside (I think it is called the Territory Lounge)? Do they have a different signature drink? Or WCC? My DW had heard something about a Cactus Margarita, but I have not. Any advanced recon you can provide for our "Undiscovered" trip next month is greatly appreciated!

last September we hung out at the pool and resort a lot more than I ever have before (usually we spend all our time in the parks and DTD) and I realized that relaxing at the resort is a MUST for me now! At least a little bit.

So we were at POFQ and I bought some fruity, delicious adult beverage (can't remember the name of it now, sorry!) and strolled right over to the dragon pool and sat in a chair with my drink while reading a fashion magazine and it was just the nicest feeling ever. I think stopping and enjoying little moments like that is what makes a vacation feel more like a vacation at disney instead of just non stop walking and running from ride to ride!

anyway... I think your daughter has the right idea! :thumbsup2 mix it up a little if you have time.. do some park touring and do some relaxing with a nice drink.... mmmmm. :cool2:

There is a poolside bar over near at the Wilderness Lodge. IIRC they make a good mai-tai like thing with rum.

Yep the bar there is awesome. When we stayed at the lodge last year we had qutie the tab! LOL But was hoping since we will be staying at in the cabins if they had something over there? Anyone know?

Amarula is awesome! My DSis went on Safari for her honeymoon and brought me back a bottle from Kenya. Good Stuff! I can't find it anywhere around here (PA) and I've been begging her to ship me a bottle from the UK.

You can get it in the liquor stores in Ontario...a little closer than U.K.

He looks like a fun guy! However, the problem I have with the margaritas (and other frozen drinks) is that they are all pre-mixed and just squirted into a cup (like at the Mexico pavilion in Epcot). I prefer drinks that are actually mixed. Even then, most of the non-frozen margaritas are terrible at WDW! With the exception of the margarita bar in DTD next to Cap'n Jacks.

ITA!

(I totally agree!)

Well, except for the part about the margarita bar next to Cap'n Jacks. I have not tried it...but I will now!

You really should! I tried it for the first time on my last trip (sorry we missed you :( ... we keep on overlapping at the very end of our trips)). I went to SSR on our first day to see the AKV preview center and then took the boat to DTD to buy our APs so we wouldn't have to stand in line the next morning. I grabbed a margarita to enjoy on the boat ride back and it was really good. They also have margaritas made with premium tequila and other ingredients. Yum!

My Aunt and I enjoyed fabulous margaritas poolside at CSR back in 2004 while the kiddies swam. It was a great way to wind down :thumbsup2
