pool question

This may seem like a DUMB question but....we are looking into renting a private home and I notice some of the ads say "South facing pool" why would this matter???

I think in the winter and the spring when it can become a little cooler - a south pool stays warmer longer if you don't want to pay for the heating????......

Hi...Yes, the pool may be a little warmer, but the way the pool faces is actually not a problem if heated. I think the main reason that south facing is a benefit is the morning sun on the deck around the pool. So if you sit on the deck at 7 to 10 AM you will get the morning sun. Pools facing the other way will get the sun as the day progresses and in the early evening.....Some people really want the morning sun.....never make much difference to us....
