Pool closing

I saw where storm along bay will be closed from January to April. We are making reservations for the first of may. Any chance they could run over and the pool will still be closed or do they allow over time in their closing estimate? Would be a huge downer if we were ther and couldnt use storm along bay.

Work on SAB is done in stages. The entire pool is not closed all at once. If the word is that the pool will be closed through April, the work will (in all likelihood) be done by May 1. But, even if it isn't, large portions of the pool will still be usable.

They were working on the pirate-ship slide when I was there Monday, so I'm sure that will be open by the time of your stay.

On there site is says there entire pool would be closed and hat other resort pools would be available ?

There were lifeguards there when I walked by, I doubt they'd have lifeguards on duty if the pool is completely closed.

We were planning to stay at YC for our trip next week (before I changed my res) and I got the letter telling me about the work being done on SAB during the time we were going to be there. I don't believe the letter said that the entire pool would be closed. In addition, I have stayed at YC many times since 1997 and there has been work being done on SAB on two prior occasions when we were there. Durting both of those times, parts of the pool were closed, but not the whole thing. The use of alternative pools is offered as a courtesy to guests who don't want to deal with the partial closure.

In addition, as your first post pointed out, the closure period is expected to be through April. Since you aren't going until May, this should not be an issue for you.

I was also just there and while the slide was not working, the majority of the pool was still available. We hardly noticed that work was going on on the other side of the pool.
