Pooh sized and need advise please

Definitely no one is laughing.. I can't tell you how many pants I've worn holes through from the insides of my thighs rubbing together.

I think keeping dry will be a big help to you. Maybe even bring another pair of shorts or pants with you, if you find one is bothering you, try the other. If you go on a water ride, you'll obviously want to change to prevent the whole chafing thing.

something you might also want to keep in mind is if you have the "apron" or the underbelly area - that can get SUPER moist and a good way to heal that if it happens is diaper rash cream (i prefer desitin creamy because its so much easier to get off your hands after you apply) but when I was in disney a year ago, i didnt realize how bad i would sweat there and the trapped moisture can cause weeping skin and that will cure it right up once you dry it off.

I can't believe I'm putting this out there for the world to read :sad2: but....

I have one of those aprons and if there is too much moisture or sweating you can get a yeast infection under the apron! If it gets super red and itchy that is what it is...a yeast infection! I got them pretty frequently and had a my ob/gyn notice it durning my yearly exam and she told me it was a yeast infection and it was caused by the moisture from sweating. she suggested using over the counter yeast infection medicine. I just got the store brand and it clears it right up! I never go to Disney without packing a tube of yeast infection medicine!

Does using the Desitin creamy keep the under-apron from getting wet/sweaty therefor prohibitting the red rash or do you use it after breaking out?

I am another who swears by Body Glide. Last time we went I used it before we left the room then at night I would rub a anit fungal cream on my legs as a preventative. It worked like a charm. We were there 12 days and had NO problems. Wish I could remember what the cream was.:confused3

Hi. I used to get that rash under my DDD/Gs ;) in the summer and it was really difficult to get rid of. I discovered Gold Bond medicated powder and I use that on all the "extra skin" areas, including the upper thighs. It really really helps avoid the yeast problem in the first place. I also have a C-section scar in that apron area and although I don't have the hangover problem, it does get irritated very fast without the Gold Bond.

Regarding any thigh rubbing, the key is NOT to wear polyester, but use cotton clothing and check to make sure you don't have large seams on the inside legs. I love the Just My Size shorts and capris that are available at Wal-Mart - they are soft and comfortable.

To OP - all the best with your recovery. Don't stress about the weight, you will learn to manage it as best you can, just focus on your health. :goodvibes

Hi all... i am of course back from my trip since originally posting this, but I see it has generated some new inquiries / great advise. I want to say, I really did not have a problem this trip (besides being hotter than you know what) and thinking id die from exhaustion ha ha... but I am happy to report that I did not have the break out, bumps ... or red rashes I thought Id get.

Of course, I followed EVERY word of advise I got here, and I found that being squeaky clean (eeew I know, but even cleaning up in the restrooms as I sweated and the day went on) ... and the combination of cotton clothes, and the body glide during the day and I was a happy camper.

I will note that at night I did use desitin on my inner thighs to cool them and just have them soak up the zinc oxide .. it helped keep my inner's happy (if that makes sense) lol lol.

Wow -- all I am left with now is an itch to go back and the happiness I get from being able to help others in my prediciment. I love love love Disney, and I really am happy that I have my own little place here on the DIS where life makes sense :)

Be good girls and boys! ;)

Another powder that is good to use is called (and I know it is going to sound like I am making this up, but I'm not), ANTI MONKEY BUTT. They make it in a male and female version. I have the female version that comes in a pink bottle. Bonus part is that the powder is a light pink color and it even smells pretty good.

Another good product is Gold Bond Medicated Powder. It helps us busty gals keep dry in the heat!

Wow. GREAT advice for yet another busty gal w/ an :apron". :worship: Until now, I just thought the body glide was for my feet and the rest of those areas I just had to "cope" and be miserable with. THANKS for the advice and the OP for posting! Glad teh OP had a great time!:goodvibes

I've been watching a TV show (Dance Your A** Off --- really! That's the name!) and they have promos on it for Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel. It sounds like it might be easier to find than the Body Glide (I am getting the impression you have to go to a sporting goods store for BG).

I just ordered a free sample of it from their website.

you never know when you are asking a question that someone else can benefit from the answer to. will be trying body glide, my teenage daughter and i.
