Where can I buy the cheapest ponchos. We have ponchos from other years, but they are so bulky because we used them on our last disney trip. I was thinking about new ones because they are smaller to pack.

I just bought some for .89 each at Target! They also had travel packs of anti-bacterial Wet Ones for .97. Love that store!

I don't have a dollar tree, but I will have to check the dollar store near me. Of course I was just in target the other night. What dept. are they in?

I bought them on clearance at Target .50 each-they were in the dollar section they have in the front of the store (with some other camping-type items). :sunny:

Picked up mine at local dollar store. 1 per package - they only had 2 and I needed 8 total. But I did get some more today at dollar tree - 2 for 1.00 - Target & Walmart when I checked were quite a bit more per poncho.

But, also realize the difference in ponchos! Some that you buy at stores are like garbage bags!! Very thin and flimsy. Others are thicker like vinyl. And, don't cost much more. Just a thought!

The ones I bought years back at dollar store were vinyl, but I will keep that thought in mind

The Disney ponchos are not $15.00. They are $7 and a nice heavy duty matieral. Also, what some people do not know, they come with replacement. If your poncho rips, you can take it to any store that sells them and get a brand new one for free

my husband and I hate carrying stuff around in the parks. We plan on buying several of the cheap ones and then after we use them we can throw them away instead of trying to repack them as small as they started out as.

I much more prefer Disney's ponchos. We bought some from WalMart, but ended up buying some from Disney because they don't stick to your skin like the cheap ones. Like another poster stated the ones from Disney are more of a vinyl rather than a trash bag. Just a thought. BTW....we only paid $20 for 2A and 1C.

When we were at Disney it June it rained every day. We bought the Disney ponchos, but.... there was a lady there with the cutest pink poncho with the princesses on the back. It looked like the same material as the ones in Disney. She said she got it at a Walmart close to Disney World.

I bought ours at Walmart yesterday around $2.50 (in the camping fishing area)for nice vinyl ones, not the garbage type of ones - which they did also have for $.86. They are not big and bulky and I will repack them uper after the rain storm. I also own the pink princess ones, but I bought them through LTD commodities.

Another idea for folding them up at the end of a storm. Roll them up and have some elastics in the bottom of the back pack. Rolled they will be no bigger than what they were when you originally bought them. Just a thought!
