I wish I could do the Sunrise Safari once, but since I don't see the point in paying a premium for the hotel room, and without owning at AKL I don't really have much of a chance on concierge DVC, I guess it is one of the things that will only happen if all stars align! But I love reading other people's reports about it! At least that safes me getting up so very early!

The breakfast really looked very yummy!

Love the updates! The safari looks awesome. The part about the rhino had me laughing! Living in a house with all men you have to just laugh at bathroom humor!

Now I'm really upset I missed the Sunrise Safari. The breakfast looks really tasty, although I wouldn't have been able to eat much.

Those pajamas were awful cute, but who in the heck wears a matching hat with their nightwear?!

I loved the Sunrise Safari when we did it back in 2007. It was only $40 the last time I looked into it!

Paying for a CL room was what got us to buy DVC in the first place!

Well hello my friend! So great to see you! You never know with DVC- I have stayed next door to people who got a 1 bdrm at 7 months with OKW points, so anything can happen! But you are crrect, it is not always possible, even WITH the AKV points- there are so few concierge villas available.

I will keep hoping the stars align for you one day!

It's NOT this year. Aulani, an AKV GV, an AKV CL 1 BDRM, and a GCV 1 BDRM can be very draining on my DVC account! I am hoping to do something different with pods this year- maybe a cruise on Celebrity to Bermuda, if they come out with that great pick 2 deal again-

Yea- I was pretty surprised at this latest price, too- it seems a little steep, like it's just over the line.

Ok everyone- just a word of warning before we begin- buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

We had gone back and tried to rest a while, then showered up and were ready to roll- except for Laura, who was REALLY feeling under the weather and would be joining us later. Before the 3 caballeras headed out to tear it up-



Epcot during F&G is sooo nice!







I loved that they changed it up this year-



Barbie and Elfis had rallied and were ready to celebrate! Ay Carumba!



Although Barbie still had bed head. Just sayin....

I had been texting with JediJill- we were going to be meeting her in the Ditch. Of course she arrived before us, and managed to save a table for us! YAY JILL!! we high tailed it over there-





We arrived at the Ditch and finally got to meet Jill! She is AWESOME in case you were wondering!! She had saved a table for us AND ordered snacks- YAY JediJill!!! Let the festivities begin!!!

On Cinco de Mayo last year, I had gotten flashy Rita pins for all of us- plus a few extra to hand out along the way. Well, it was SO much fun, that I decided to get a LOT more for this year- I have to say, between Laura's hats (which we were stopped and asked about CONSTANTLY) and my pins, we were very popular that day! I made sure to give them to our bartender friends FIRST- especially Bulmaro and Pepe, who are my personal favorite Ditch bartenders. After that, I think I pretty much decorated everyone in the bar! It was a BLAST in there that day!!!





We were busy enjoying the festivities- there were Margaritas everywhere, tequila everywhere, FUN everywhere! All the tables of people were VERY sociable, it was one big Cinco de Drinko fest in there!

There was also much sharing of mustaches-

The table next to us was a LOT of fun!



As usual, Barbie got sloppy early- she just does NOT hold her liquor well at ALL!



But her enabler? Well that's another story entirely-

La Cava was not crazy crowded that day, which was kind of surprising. My guess is that was because it was on a Sunday this year, but who knows?

Bulmaro's flashy pin wouldn't work, and by the time I found out, I had already handed every single one out! I felt so bad! He's the guy I most want to have one- oh well, if I ever find myself lucky enough to be in the Ditch on Cinco de Mayo AGAIN, I will be SURE to save more pins for my little bartender friend.

Well, we had had a lot of fun in there with ALL of the people, but eventually it was time to move on- Laura joined us at some point, and I have to say, this girl is a trooper- you would never have known how horrible she was feeling by the way she was acting. Big Laura smile as per usual! Jill had plans coming up, too- but she was hangin with us as long as she could. COOL! I believe when I asked her if she wanted to spend more time being a DISmom, she said something like "SURE! I didn't know it was going to be like THIS!"

What can I say? You let us out of our cages, and we go WILD!!

At some point, we ended up spending some time with this lovely girl from Germany and her bottle of Apple Berentzen-



Pretty sure that was sick Laura's idea-

I think the bonus shots were my idea. Brilliant, right? I was REALLY happy sipping that Gran Marnier for a while- Drea? Well, she had a shot of Citron vodka with her slushie. You can see how well THAT went here-

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and this was no exception. Jill had another bunch of peeps to meet for dinner, and we had an ADR at MP's. Time to say goodbye-





It was a LOT of fun hangin with you for a few hours that day, Jill! REALLY hope we get to do it again sometime!!

Love the updates! And the ears!! I so want a pair of those for one of our trips - although we won't be able to be there on Cinco de Drinko ever (at least until DH retires because he's a teacher) but they would still be awesome to wear when we visit the ditch, which is often!

Love the update, but I must admit it made me a bit nauseous. My boss had a holiday party last night, and I'm having too many flashbacks of everything!

Lots of martinis, some Sambuca, sake, moonshine cherries, apple pie, and Ellen - you can appreciate this - I got to try Opus One. It's not my thing, but it was interesting. There may have been more, but that's all I can recall for now!

I love the Mickey ear sombreros and the necklaces and pins! You were definitely prepared for this day! I love when you get somewhere and the folks around you are great fun too. That makes a good day even better!
