Polynesian - suite or concierge?

Help, I'm confused by all my options. I was going to go with a garden concierge but am debating whether the lagoon was worth it. I figure the Hawaii garden view can't look out on a parking lot right?

Then I saw somewhere that I can get a 1BR concierge suite (at Tonga?) for the same price as my garden... is that right? Is it a real suite i.e. I could put the kids to bed and dh and I would have a separate area that we could have lights on and make noise? I don't seem to be able to get a quote on suites on line - is that right? - ANSWERING MY OWN QUESTION HAVING BEEN TO STEVE's SITE - NO SEPARATE AREA. Is there any reason I would want to stay here rather than in Hawaii garden view?

What to do what to do. Last time we did WDW (2002) we stayed at AKL concierge and loved it - but heard the Poly was well worth a visit.

On allears.net it lists the prices for the suites and says that a concierge suit is around $510 and a 1 bedroom is $700...so I would gather that the seperate room would cost you the $700...

we have stayed GVC in the Hawaii bldg many times...The views from GVC are of landscaping and the quiet pool...no parking lot...and being in the Hawaii bldg makes it alot more convenient to the lounge...

The $510.00 suite is actually the Honeymoon suite in the Tonga building and it actually smaller than a normal room because there is a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. There is also only a king bed in the room, not the usual two queens. The one bedroom suite has two queens in the bedroom and a day bed in the sitting area, so it doen't really add any sleeping space for the extra $$. Tikiman would have the definitive answers on this.

The honeymoon suite in the Tonga building would not allow you any more privacy from your children than any regular room. It is, however, recently re-habbed - but for your needs, I wouldn't suggest it.

The one bedroom Princess suite ($700/night) is a large room with a seperate sitting area that has a daybed. Kids could sleep here - potentially - and you would have your space for the adults to keep lights on and make noise (as you said you'd like to.)

Another option would be adjoining rooms in Hawaii. If you booked two adjoining rooms GVC, the cost would not be too much higher than booking the princess suite, and your kids would be just as comfortable as you.

And by the way, the garden view rooms in Hawaii have very nice views - you can't really go wrong.

It looks like most of your questions were answered above. The honeymoon suite would not be an option since it only sleeps 2 but the one bedroom Princess is a great room for the price and you do have access to an additional smaller lounge and concierge desk in the Tonga Longhouse as well as access to Hawaii’s lounge.
