We are staying at Music and will have a car, doing MK on March 26 when crowds will be super high. There are morning EMHs that day so what I was thinking about doing is parking at the poly and taking the monorail into MK, then heading back to the poly for dinner, and watch the electrical water show and wishes from the beach, and drive back to our resort, hoping to avoid the throngs of people leaving after wishes. I am a noob so I wanted to run this past someone in case I'm totally missing something.

They have security at the entrance to the poly parking lot. You have to show you have a room reservation or dining reservation for them to let you park there. Even if you had a reservation for that evening, I don't think they'd let you in to park in the morning.

You will most likely not be allowed to park at the Poly in the morning. With the construction the parking is much more limited. The resort does allow 3 hour parking if you have a dining reservation so you could do that during dinner, but you most likely not be allowed to park there in the morning.

You'll have a 3 hour time limit if they do let you park there, unless you valet.

I'd just park at the TTC, go to your reservation, watch the show, and then walk back to the TTC from the Poly. Saves the money of valeting.

Darn, thought I had it figured out. Ok, thanks for the help!

you can park at the regular MK parking lot and go to the park and in the evening take the boat or monorail to the Poly and do dinner, watch the water pageant and Wishes and then walk to the TTC and get your car. You will still avoid the masses leaving MK

If you valet can you park all day?

Yes.

However, if the MK is very busy (and it might be) they MIGHT close the MK area resorts' parking lots to guests not staying there.

If the regular MK fills and closes, it's very possible that the MK area resort lots will be closed, too.

WILL that happen? Don't know.
But, be prepared.

When the parks get super-busy...

EVERYTHING gets busy!

Interesting. I'm going to get an AP+TIW for the first time next year so I'm glad to hear about the benefits of valet parking.

The valet parking that is associated with TiW is intended to be used for the duration of your meal.
Are there some who stretch that to all day?
Yup.

From the TiW website:
Resort valet services are complimentary to Tables in Wonderland members, for the sole purpose of dining at one of the participating Resort restaurants.

If you valet park at a resort and go to a theme park for the day you will probably have to pay.

You could always just take the bus to MK from Music, go to the poly then take the monorail back to MK or TTC to pick up the bus back to Music.

THIS will work perfectly. I looked it up and it looks like it's a very short walk. Thank you!

You will have to show your receipt to prove you've used your TIW to eat at a restaurant in the allotted time to receive the TIW free valet perk. I've seen them tell someone who had parked six hours prior (no, it wasn't GF so there was no Victoria and Albert's involved) told that they had to pay for the valet because they had parked their longer than the duration of their meal.
