Hi all!

We will be at the Poly concierge in a few weeks -- Hooray!

We have a non-smoking lagoon view. Any suggestions on which rooms have the best MK view? Our little boy LOVES eleveators, so we are hoping for 2nd or 3rd floor.

Are there refrigerators automatically in concierge rooms or do we need to request one?

Any other ideas to help us have a magical stay at the Poly?? It will be our first time there. We haven't heard from the concierge yet (we emailed earlier in the summer about CRT, but haven't heard anything recently), so we are going to send off a list of requests, etc.

Thanks!

P.S. For some reason, this forum (and this one only) switches toa wide landscape format when I try to read it. Any technical advice on how to have it be only one screen wide? Thanks!

Go to tikimans website www.tikiman2001.homestead.com. He has great info about the Poly in general and concierge in specific, including room locations.

You will have to request a refigerator, as they are not standard in any rooms at the Poly.

Have a great time!!!

Have you been to Tikiman's site? It's so awesome!

This should answer most, if not all, of your questions.

Yes, a fridge comes with the concierge room automatically.

I am concerned that you haven't heard from the concierge/planning dept...I would call or e-mail them soon to confirm everything.

Remember, the 2nd floor doesn't have a balcony. You may want to consider that when requesting a room.

As far as magic? Lagoon View Concierge is going to be quite magical in itself! I recommend Ohana for dinner & breakfast. And don't forget to relax by the pool for a half day at least. It's such a beautiful resort!

Enjoy & let us know how it turns out!

Erin

according to tikiman's site... (and you may want to ask the concirge before you leave)

Your room will have robes, phone in the bath area, data port on phone line, coffee maker (upon request), minibar (small empty refrigerator) and nightly turndown service. Jogging strollers are also available to concierge guests (first come first serve)

Our family will being staying Poly concierge in about one week. Does anyone know if the concierge service is any better now that Labor Day has passed? Unfortunately I've read too many negative posts about the concierge being in the Tahiti building and now I'm worried that we won't enjoy our stay. Any comments??

Tahiti will house the concierge service until 10/18--the first day the concierge will be back up and running (according to my information anyway) in Hawaii after its recent rehab. From 10/18 on concierge returns home to Hawaii!

Tahiti DOES have balconies on all upper floors and patios on the first. Hawaii has only a 3rd floor balcony and is--or at least was prior to rehab--the smoking optional floor. Ground floor rooms in Hawaii have patios.

Refrigerators are in room for concierge. No need to request one.

If you haven't heard from Island Planning yet, by all means you should follow-up on your requests. The staff is usually very prompt in contacting guests after a request was made. You should just ask them to supply you with an e-mail copy of your PS itinerary. Contact should also be made to assure you are properly booked for the PS requests made.

Concierge is about as magical as it gets. If you've never stayed at Polynesian Concierge, you won't know the difference between service in Hawaii vs Tahiti--go and enjoy!

I agree--spend some time meandering around the resort--especially at night! Lovely. . . . Take time to enjoy the music on the grounds and the beautiful flora and fauna. Watch the fireworks from the beach and the water parade prior to them! Stroll the walkway between Polynesian and GF. Take time to appreciate the views. In other words, let yourself be wrapped in the calm and serenity that envelops the Polynesian! It is vacation after all! ;)
