Poly2 sale date

Does anyone have any guesses based on where poly 2 is in construction, in addition to the announced estimated timeframe for completion of when they might start selling the new tower?

Judging by the timeline from DVCNews provided about the VDH I do not think it will be very soon.

I feel like most of the mega threads focus on the association. Just wanted to check in and see if anyone has any updated guesses on dates, sorry.

Yea I feel like the two threads on the topic have devolved into conversations around association and who's for and who's against it.

Nothing to apologize for imo. I don't want to speculate but based on the article I mentioned previously it looks like it is a ways off. I really do not think they want VGF, RIV, AUL, VDH & Poly 2 selling at the same time.

One could argue for the fact that 2 of the 5 are not at WDW but with 3 at WDW that still that gives new members too much choice.
Perspective buyers then would debate the choices for a long time and possibly not pull the trigger.
RIV may still be selling but my guess is VGF has to be sold out before they start selling it as they are both monorail resorts.

They will want to recoup the capex as soon as they can when poly2 is finished, they are still saying 2024. If VGF is still active, then there will be 3 resorts in active sales at WDW, so be it.

Unless they pull a Tron and slow walk the build and take 5 years on it...

I'm an outlier on this issue.

I don't give a care about anything concerning the Poly tower but getting enough of the dang building done that they open up the pathway again. (Okay, I admit I do eventually want to see what the interior looks like.)

We may do a one-nighter there whenever it is open but have no interest at all in buying. I don't like Poly for anything but meeting Lilo & Stitch at 'Ohana breakfast.

DH, bless that man, goes along with whatever makes me happy.

Agree with you and @kilik64 - They won’t want to sit on more points but agree, it will make it harder for potential buyers. That said, I am sure they will train the reps to ask the right questions to push them in a direction quickly and convince them that is the best choice for their family.

Last time I checked with my guide, he could not officially talk about it….I think that he said hypothetically based on when the internet said it the resort would open and what he has experienced in the last 30 years …. He was guessing summer to late summer 2024 ..

I spoke with an on-site guide a few days ago. She told me it will be early 2025 or POSSIBLY very late 2024 based on their latest info.
Obviously, I wouldn't take something one guide says as 100% fact (we all know how disney employees can be about misinformation) but add it to the data pool.

Basically the dirt is moved, some infrastructure laid and they may be working on some footings. It will be quite awhile. My guess would be late 2024. The DL tower will be next so no rush for Poly.

Yeah if it opens Late 2024 like they announced, Summer 2024 would be the logical estimate. Of course if the opening date slips, the on sale date will too, to around 6-7 months before the opening date.

Aulani will be selling for the foreseeable future. It shouldn’t be factored into this equation. Enough demand to sell both VGF and Poly2.
