Poly worth the extra cost?

I stayed at the Poly on the Labor Day deal before. I would never pay rack rate. It is not worth those prices IMO. We enjoyed our stay but it didn’t live up to the massive hype for us. We did a split stay with BC and enjoyed the resort much more. My kids loved BC and says they preferred it over the Poly.

Next trip we are doing BWV on rented points. We just love the Epcot area. With renting points the studio comes out to $189 a night!

I rented from a private person on the Dis rent/trade board. She was awesome to work with and had lots of good reviews. She even walked the reservation two weeks before since I'm going during Jersey Week which fills up fast.

We haven’t stayed at the Poly yet but will be for a few days in Nov. I don’t like the price tag even with a discounted travel agent rate so we are doing 5 nights at French Quarter with 2 nights at Poly.
Every time I read a thread like this I’m tempted to switched to a full stay at FQ and use the extra $ for a dessert party or photo session.
I haven’t dropped the 2 nights though bc we don’t get to WDW often and I’m sure once Star Wars opens there won’t be many discounts on resort so it might be now or never for us to try the Poly.

Is there a way to check with Disney to make sure a res was made for you? I’ve always been afraid to rent privately, I’ve heard the stories. Look forward to hearing how you like it. I’ve always booked the Labour Day special. Like you I refuse to pay the over inflated prices! I prefer regular room with 2 real beds over studio and pullout. But can’t argue with that price!

It's on my MDE app. I check it often!! I am/was a bit nervous but I'm going on faith. **Fingers Crossed**

This trip I decided on a studio since it's just going to be DD12 and myself. So two real beds isn't a huge deal this trip.

Had I rented through David's it would have been the same price but they usually don't get standard rooms. It would've been a preferred for about $275 a night. Still a good deal.
