Poly, which house for mobility issues?

I've stayed at Poly once, last year at the Tokelau (?spelling) and loved it so much that we've decided to take my parents along this year! DD has early stages of Parkinsons, he can walk unassisted but not very fast. Which building would you recommend based on convenience and view? We currently have reservations for garden view (with Visa Discount), I'm desperately hoping that AP discounts come out (and soon!).

I noticed on another thread that many people voted Hawaii as their favorite house, how close is that to the GCH? Thanks for all your help!

I'm right there with you on the AP rates.

This should link you to a map of the resort:

As for your room location, here is what I would consider:

1. The Hawaii building is centrally located with great views. However, it is not exactly close to the GCH and the monorail. It's not too far, but certainly not the closest longhouse. Also, all of the rooms in the Hawaii are concierge level, which means that you will have to pay for the concierge service (about $75-100 per day). So, if you were not planning on a concierge stay, that might rule that longhouse out.

2. If you want to be close to the GCH, and thus the restaurants, shops and monorail, the Niue and the Rorotonga are good choices. Just be careful. I believe he Niue is last longhouse scheduled for refurbishment. I am not sure when it will be done. As for the Rorotonga, it has the additional benefit of being close to the laundry facilities. But one side faces the parking lot. Despite that, I think the views from both sides are good.

3. If you want to be close to the TTC (which is great if you are going to be spending a lot of time in Epcot), try to get Rapa Nui or Tahiti. Both have great views. But be warned, both are a trek from the GCH and the pools.

4. If you are going to spend a lot of time in the pools, Samoa is the best. It is smack in between both pools and is still very close to the GCH.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help and the link! I probably won't be doing Hawaii, concierge level, since I'm already booking 2 rooms ($$$$);) . But the other houses...gives me something to think about. Thanks again!
