Poly Villas Lake View request

We are leaving for the PVB on Wednesday and booked a lake view room. I was wondering for the people that have been in one of the lakeview rooms recently, What should I request. I requested online an upper floor but am wondering if I should call Member Services and be more specific like request the 3rd floor, and odd number room etc. Would love to have a view of the Grand Floridian or the Magic Kingdom if there are any rooms that have views like that in that category.

Definitely call them and request 3rd floor. Ground floor will have no views to speak of. 2nd floor is a little better. 3rd floor is the best. Fireworks, lake and GF can be seen. Also the horn from the Ferry Boat can be heard. The only lake view rooms right now are in Moorea....and I don't think it matters odd or even.

FYI, some room assigners start assigning as far out as 10 days prior to check in.

We were just there and stayed in 3019. It was a fantastic room, but I think all the rooms facing the lake would have been good.

We used online checkin, requested upper floor and received 3rd floor.

By asking for upper floor it gives them leeway to use 3rd or 2nd floor. If asking for only 3rd floor, it leaves them less wiggle room with the request.

I highly recommend walking along the beach to the GCH. Slightly longer walk, but very relaxing and lots to look at. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

NOTE: I recommend bringing ear plugs. Most of the sounds were great, but the ferry horn running until 1am and starting up at 5:45am was something I wasn't expecting to hear so loudly in the room.

Some people comment on the sounds from room to room vary due to who installed the insulation either correctly or incorrectly. Wonder if that theory holds water.
